How does hydrostatic level measurement work?
As side attachment, the hydrostatic pressure sensor measures the hydrostatic pressure of the liquid column above it and is directly proportional to the filling height. The hydrostatic pressure depending on the gravitational constant and medium density thus enables a direct conclusion regarding the changing level, i.e. the height of the liquid column above it.

is it allow to use for hydrostatic test as for expansion pressure from the water jacket?

Hello @reworks2347, In this video we just talk about hydrostatic level measurement and the mentioned products are only meant for this measurement task. For a hydrostatic test, a pressure sensor can be used as well, but the nominal pressure is usually much higher and so the specification of the pressure sensor is different. Hello Jayc Franco, Pressure sensors also transmit electrical signals, therefore you can indicate the measured pressure on a digital display. You could use the WIKA model DI10, digital indicator for panel mounting: en.wika.com/di10_en_co.WIKA

Hello, for cylindrical tank, height 2 meter(our max target is 1,75meter), capacity 4,000 Liter, hot bitumen, what should be max MB of pressure sensor? Thanks in advance

Hello @Jahan Gostar Radan Shargh, A pressure sensor is not recommended to be used in this application because: a) The maximum possible media temperature of a front flush sensor is 150 °C. Hot bitumen often reaches higher temperatures. b) The bitumen stick to the sensor element and thus a proper measurement will not be possible. Best regards.

@@WIKAGroup Thank you for reply, now imagine we use cooling and diaphragm, in this case the problem mentioned wont happen! now would you please tell us what would be the Mbar sensor we should chose ?
