Yeah, very Lennonesque Voice + intensive harmony vocals from the girl, plus a lead guitar that re-creates the sound of George Harrsion in the Beatles Revolver-period. I just melted away on 1966-nostalgia hearing this song for the first time.
Nels Cline on guitar is about the best there is! (seriously much better than George; not to disparage) And Leslie is basically a Goddess... not much to add to that.
Awesome song, very much in the style of Tim and Neil Finn. The Wilco album "Wilco (The Album)" is just too good for words! I hope this version of the band stays together forever and Tweedy can continue to create songs this wonderful.
This is so perfect it could easily be released as a studio recording. Love how Jeff Tweedy looks like a long-lost Bacon Brother and Leslie Feist looks like the lovely Tina Fey.
This was gonna be our wedding song when my ex fiance and I got engaged. Such a amazing song. Tough to listen to since we never went through with the wedding
So...I love about everything Jeff has done. We actually grew up in the same town (Belleville) though our paths never crossed. But just as a guy, I have to be extremely jealous that he has worked with perhaps the two most beautiful and talented ladies in music: Leslie Feist & Sharon Van Etten. They both just stop my heart momentarily! 😆😍
All of Wilco's albums are beautiful but I believe their most underrated is Summerteeth. Listen to the entire album and it is just a masterpiece. I believe it is around the same greatness as Yankee and Sky Blue Sky.
Summerteeth is an aquired taste because of the juxtaposition of upbeat music and depressing lyrics. However, that's exactly what makes it outstanding. I prefer it to YHF which to me isn't the opus magnum everyone makes it out to be.
Awsome. Love this band so much. Unfortunately I just got turned on with them a while ago. There was one song my sister was playing on her I phone, and I was like; who is this?( looser I should have known😓). I think when an artist can make you feel so good ,at the same time, feeling all sorts of emotions & when you play this song over and over again ( like I did) that's pretty amazing. Wilco is so multi talented it's ridiculous, really. I like fiest as well. This is one of my favourite songs from Wilco so sweet. This song also reminds me of a friend of mine, who I just adore. Great music Thanxs for uploading ☀️⭐️
@kickittome70 It was my introduction to the band as well along with A ghost is born and I love them both. There's no doubt about it that both are masterpieces in their own right.YHF, however might contain too of the most striking Wilco songs, Jesus etc. and The ashes of American flag.Even if you don;t like the album on the first listen these two are bound to suck you in
