This Wild Asia Heroes episode honours Dr Joean Oon, affectionately known as 'the garbage enzyme lady'. Since 2006, she has spread the word in her Earth Saving Through Garbage Enzyme campaign, giving hundreds of talks and demonstrations across Asia. In this video, Dr Oon offers a step-by-step process on how to make your own garbage enzyme, how to make use of it, and at the same time reduce trash and help save the planet.
Wild Asia Heroes is a project to recognise the unsung heroes in our community. We aim to honour ordinary people in Asia who are making a difference, protecting the environment and empowering communities.

I have seen in the early 1980s the womenfolk in my village in northeastern part of India using fermentation technique for bath / shampoo. There is something called cultural knowledge that is with us after long process of refinement. I salute to her.

🙏 thank you 😇😉 Jai Gurudev. I made one 6 months ago after I met one girl from Malaysia in AOL ashram who showed me how to make it, maybe she said 3 moths, too, but I waited until 6months. Just yesterday I used my fisrt made enzym to clean...wow..it's so good, super bright.. then I tried to search on RU-vid some video to share others people to make it properly ...and I found yours👍😄

I would like to congratulate you on your efforts to improve environment. I am in scotland where temperature is low ( in summer approx. 12--18 C). Can I make this enzyme?

I don't feel this is a misrepresentation for what works locally will work globally. Other videos have shown commercial greenhouses using this with amazing results that are measurable. And people who have experienced the use of this product personally are totally impressed. Experience is the best science.

i made the enzyme from green wastage of home for last 6 months. this is very intersting to control the domestic garbage and a great contribution to control pollution . i have a question to enquer: What are the name of microbs that grow in the enzyme of domestic waste. The enzyme made of mix green wastege gives a very bad smell. (I followed 90 days proces,all went normal but with more time a stinking smell started in enzyme).Share your experience. Kindly advise how to control the stinking smell. Other enzyems gives good smell. Thx.

Yes, green leafy wastes produced a bad smell for me, too. Try using less green and more of other fruit and veggie dregs. For example, I made a batch with onion dregs and orange peels. The smell was much less offensive.

This is great! I want to do the same! What are the kitchen waste can be used apart from vegi and fruits? Raw fish? Meat? Leftover cooked food?

Lemon peel, orange peel, pineapple peel. Don't use other veg/other things.

Sometime there is a layer of fungus on the top of the emzyme so what should we do to get rid of the fungus

This video says that the process produces methane. Methane is a greenhouse gas. Greenhouse gases contribute to "global warming". Would someone please explain how this is "good for the environment"?

i think we can take this orally because it is only naturally made from fruits rind, sugar and water and it will benefit the whole mankind. if it cleanses the surroundings it will cleanses also our body.
