That casino is using 1 deck and re-shuffling after about 30 of 52 cards, that is when it is most probable for the dealer to win. Only play tables with 3 or more decks in a blackjack shoe, it’s still a dealers game but way more fair to the player than just one deck.

It's not unusual dealer always has best chances to make hand. I've seen dealer get 7 BJ in row and 11 21s in one shoe. No one at the table won with 20

OK. I have a question on one of your moves. You had two 5's against a 6. You chose to double that. What is the reasoning behind not splitting those 5's. If I followed all the next set of cards correctly, you would have ended up with 2 19's against the dealers 17 and won two hands. Now maybe that was pure luck that the cards came out that way, but does the book say to not split 5's against a 6?

It is better to double 5-5 because there are more 10 values than any other card in a deck. And if you manage to get that 10, then 20 is a strong hand. Likewise, if you split 5-5 and happen to get 2 15's, then you are put in a bad position hoping that dealer busts. Yes, anything can happen where splitting 5's could be the winning play instead, but doubling 5-5 is better odds for the player.
