That’s a cracking route Graham, brill vid. Love a few days out like that, you deffo do need an early night at some point though to catch up. Spot on vid. Cheers, Dave
Had an absolute blast Graham, some quality time with quality chaps in a quality place. Wind and sun burns are cooling down now 🤣 Hen hole is a truly magical place for a camp. Looking forward to our next trip.
Graham, ive watched all your vids and i keep coming back to thos one, its my favourite, fantastic laid back walk over the ridge and some genuine soul food right there, thanks for sharing this particular adventure
Thank you. I really enjoyed this trip, no time pressure and a bit of time to breath and unwind at each camp spot. Thanks for your kind words, ATB, Graham 👍
Yup, Yearning Hall was plan B if we couldn’t find any water on the ridge. Very dry up there (except for the bogs of course!) sleeping the next night at the Henhole next to a babbling stream with all the water we could want was heavenly! ATB, G 👍
Loved this one Graham, from start to finish. A really nice route to hike over a couple of days, with a couple of good pals (who really did look like superheroes). Good call's on the water conservation / harvesting, and also on the use of the Refuge Huts. Big thumbs up from me :)
Thanks Donna, I really enjoyed this little mini adventure. For me, it’s about what life’s all about, a few days complete freedom in the hills with good friends. The water was a concern but tbh it added a little bit to the enjoyment of it all, having to source it and problem solve ATB, Graham 👍👍
Hi Graham, great walk and video Never walked that part, the hills look nice and rolling, Water is hard to find and heavy to carry, choices choices. Cheers Adrian
Thank you, one of my favourite trips from last year, just a mini expedition for sure, but good for the soul. Hope you get out and have a great trip yourself, ATB, Graham 👍👍

nice one Graham. when i 1st found spithope it was totally enclosed in trees👌 there is sometimes a little trickle near yearning hall.normally use it when camping at lamb hill.good to see the goats thriving 👍
Great video Graham, thoroughly enjoy watching it, at points felt i was there with you, as like many people have done much of the area but not the epic you did, keep the videos coming mate, much appreciated.
Great trip Graham, looked a epic few days in the borders. Its been pretty tight on water recently so can imagine it made things a tad more difficult. well done and TFS Steven
I used to know parts of that walk like the back of my hand … is there still a Log Book in the first Refuge Hut to record use ? … also there was a small map inside indicating the location of a Spring behind the Hut and just over the Border Fence .
Yes, the log book was there but it was full, and felt a bit thin as if people had been tearing pages from it. It did indicate that the hut is well used, as you'd expect, on the Pennine Way. I did look for water directions but I didn't see any- I might have just missed them. Thanks for watching, Graham 👍👍
Definitely one of the safer bothy/ mountain huts, I would've thought. There are some bothies I won't go back to full stop because of people I've met though, so you are right to be cautious!
hello mate seen you getting picked up by your lass didnt know it was you i walked down the wall from great hetha next time we meet i owe you a pint keep the vids coming its you emz and donna that make me get out cheers
Aye that would've been me! They certainly put in the miles those two lasses. Thanks for your kind words- the other two lads I was with were dissapointed Hethpool didn't have a pub 😆ATB, Graham 👍👍
