I was looking at this tent about five years ago but I was put off because its an inner up first. If Alpkit turned this into an outer pitch first then it would be a contender to the Hilleberg Tarra
Yeah, that’s actually a really good point, I used the MSR elixir for a long time and it used to be a nightmare in the rain, most of the time you can get away with it though
Satellite Trackers, Absolutely a number one safety device, I use the SPOT as its cheaper. Too many people go into the woods and hills and find out they need help but none is coming or search and rescue need to hunt high and low to find the dead body or the injured traveller. Off all the kit we seem to buy that's so expensive yet we feel these types of device are a waste of cash.
Good vid new sub but please don't forget not everybody can afford gucci gear young feller but make do with what they can afford,I have better stuff than you but that's irrelevant yes review your gear after years use I watch for the camps and views etc yours will be great channel your so keen so just abit constructive criticism atb, davey
It served me well for many years, mate. It’s a good tent to be fair all round, well built, probably not the best four season option, but if you only plan on camping spring summer and autumn you’ll be fine, mine never leaked in once
On first look I'm thinking Inner pitch first is a deal breaker for me (unless I am going in my car and camping nearby and have another tent as back up). Then the fly doesn't appear to come close enough to the ground for a four season for me, when you camp in strong winds with snow it will always find a way in and far more so if the fly is too high above the ground. But I love the video, awesome to see young folks enjoying the outdoors camping at all times of the year.
Thank you mate. I’m looking forward to camping in winter. I’m really pushing the limits of some of my gear, I agree to be fair the only time I take this out is if I was certain it wasn’t going to rain badly
