I always feel your videos are very different from others, but I can't pin point it. Probably you're guys are calm, real, not acting, not over reacting things, very natural in front of the camera, body language is just to the point, excellent balance between talking and not talking, scenes only. Of course, the fabulous editing skills..etc.
Think of how many pioneers and the ancient people before them saw that same view. Thank you for all the clean up your family does & also thank you for putting in the part about the artifacts.
Just found your channel - love it. Your cinematography is amazing - there must be some sort of Oscar out there for you, and it is not lost on me that you are doing it all by yourself . Love human side of it. “Is it worth it” where you meet the fan on the trail just when you are questioning what you are doing was a sign. You are impacting people lives, getting them to focus on what is important. I wish I was aware of you in 2018 when you came through Alaska. If in Kodiak, AK - look us up.
The family content is great. Adjusting to having young kids along has been my biggest change since diving back in. Really enjoy these peaceful family trips. Your inclusion of history, topics like the trash vs relic, etc are all great additions! Looking forward to more trips!

I found it through Epic Family Road Trip...Yes while they are awesome too, your channel is what I can relate to...I have watched all your videos from the very first to the last and here I am watching several of them more than a handful of times now because well some of them are so great!! The music is always on point, some I have downloaded myself just to enjoy at anytime...PLEASE DONT STOP DOING WHAT YOUR DOING! Fantastic video ! The part with Caroline running reminds of my Daughter. Our last trip in 2019 she wanted to go exploring so we sent her off with a portable vhf radio and turned on the truck radio so we could stay in contact. Now I don’t think I would do that with her if she was 7 , but it’s something to think about for the future. Keep up the great work. ! Much love from Canada 🇨🇦

I love these videos. I'm from this area, and seeing places I've taken my truck and camped with my kid is awesome, especially seeing the same sense of wonder on your daughters face at some of the great outdoors. I always wonder who's been in the area before me. With all the native cultures from the area, you might never know if you're in an apache camp or a wild west cowboy trail! Love it! Sierra Blanca is gorgeous!

You can find that fire pit at home Depot. It's called heininenger portable fire pit. I have one and it work really good. Very windy conditions I do not use it. It's a great camping fire pit.

We are intrigued by New Mexico and seriously considering moving to the Alamogordo area in the next 12 months. We're heading out in April in our truck camper to explore the area and look at property. The main appeal for us is the climate and centralized geographic location for exploration of other varied environments. We've loved living here in Georgia for the last 30 years but the climate has changed noticeably. We no longer have 4 distinct seasons and now suffer through one oppressively hot and humid 6 month stretch followed by a cold and dreary 6 month stretch. It's mainly the humidity here in the southeast that kills the fun. Do you have any advice or opinions to share ? Also, I was wondering what brand of air compressor do you use (tire maintenance) ? Oh yeah, almost forgot .... love your creativity, camera work, story telling and editing. Your videos are very entertaining :-)
It's tough to "Reflect on what's most important" when you're filming, droning and plotting the video though... A lot of overland channels struggle with that. See "Seek adventure" last video.. you'll see what I'm talking about. I try to limit filming for youtube when i'm with family, gets in the way.
Easy with that " If it's over 50 and doesn't have a label, leave it laying". Since I haven't got a tattoo and I'm over 50, I would like some one to pick me up if they find me laying on a trail. :)
As a very proud father of 3, it is time to add a playmate for your daughter. :-) I always thought our decision to have our last was for us.....turned out it was a bigger gift for our other two, older kids. Something to ponder. And nothing is more personal then that. But if you are ever on the edge of figuring out if this is a good time or not....it never is. God has a plan and He will provide.
