Wild camping Scotland. Solo hike and camp into the forest. Camping in the rain.
Headed out for another adventure, weather forecast was grim, rain.
Hiked up to a loch in the Galloway forest that I'd not been to in a while.
Set up the tent with a great view down the Loch, cooked up some food and drank some brews.

Us wild campers are a strange bunch! We spend a fortune on quality gear, almost starve our selves sometimes, we buy kit you might use once, then upgrade and we sleep out in the cold and wet. I LOVE IT! I wouldn't change a thing. (Helicopter lift to a few sites might work....)

Hi Colin, Great camp and location. Very relaxing. The sweet and sour chicken looked very good. Hope you get snow this year. I'm hoping to get out and do a hot tent snow camp this year. I'm bringing my Hot tent and stove for a weekend trip next month. Who knows, we've had snow here in November before. I'll keep my fingers crossed. atb 👍👌⛺❄☃

Brilliant Colin 😍👍..Such a cracking spot..Only been down to that neck of the woods a couple of times..Need get myself back down there😁..Why are the closing the roads?..Is it to stop all the neds from having easy camps as they won’t hike?..Enjoyed that mate😁 Cheers Robert

@@Colinrussellscottishwildcamper Yeah it is. If you follow the mountain bike path and see a fence line and burn on the left follow it up and it brings you to brechbowie. Not many places to pitch a tent though but a cracking wee loch to fish
