purposely waited for this game to go on sale $20 (non-deluxe and season pass) and the wait was well worth it. your review is spot on. it's very arcade-like but with an ultimate team twist and there are NO microtransactions, which is so refreshing. the wild card aspect makes it different and fresh with some strategy involved. even better you can play with or without cards. no complaints here. just wish, with no NFL license, we could have had much more customization (create-a-player, create-a-stadium, create logos, uniforms, etc.) and editing existing teams names and colors. you can edit your own playbooks and wild card decks, which is pretty cool. berman gives it a nice old school touch too. thanks saber interactive/sandbox for coming out with a game that doesn't depend on microtransactions. MAYBE saber interactive will reward dedicated players with the legacy players (as a bonus payable DLC) later in the future. makes sense to add them to pre-order only but give us late bloomers at shot at them. we'll gladly pay and not complain about that.

I used to love Madden Arcade. This reminds a lot of that, especially with the wild cards

This reminds me of the way we used to play football back in the way back machine. We had cards or read this long card against your opponent. I forgot the name of the football board game. It was similar to the one used in the James Caan version of Brian Piccolo movie. Thanks for the excellent review. Time to download it. lol

Great review, Thank You. I just got the game and started a season and have only finished 2 games of my 8 game season.....Question, have you confirmed after the season that there are playoffs and a championship or do you just play the 8 games and the season is over?

We have basic version on Nintendo Switch and trying to figure out how to use two controllers to play together at home with one system and not online. Can anyone help? Cannot figure it out.

I'm liking the game so far and first thing I did was season mode with no wild cards. That said I actually really like the wild cards so I'm gonna have a season with them on as well! Also nice video and good work on this one!

Anybody who played NFL street, I highly recommend this game! It’s perfect for the Nintendo Switch with the handheld play. The only downside is that you need Internet connection to play
