Love all the excitement all the bongs, mings, and oms have when finding the chanterelles! Hope you enjoyed eating them 😋 going to try to go again in a couple of weeks
I use to go mushroom hunting out in the Ohio mountains with my dad and my uncle this was a very long time ago i think it was called morel mushrooms it looks like it has alot of holes in it it was pretty good when it was all battered up and deep fried i never seen the ones u go hunting for but im pretty sure it taste good great video bong keep it up 👌
Yes those are morels and I have never picked them before but keep hearing mix reviews on the taste lol. They like to grow at campfire spots or ashy spots after a fire. I will also be picking Matsutakes or also known as pine mushrooms very soon as well bong and cheers to the foraging life! 😃🍻🍻
@@petervicheth4929 hello bong! 👋, they taste very good and has a very nice mushroom aroma that I really enjoy! Stay tune bong we will cook them up soon! Thank you for coming along with us 😃🙏
Mmm 😋 I want to know how you will cook it and how does it taste? 🤔 Also do you need a license to pick mushrooms? 🤔 Like how you have to have one for fishing? Can't wait for your next vid on your reaction! 😊😋❤
yep n always watch those feet's! probably stepped on many, but that's how it is,,, uve to walk... slow... and check under ever step.. wish u fun and safe travels
@@washingtonlife np! once youve found a patch.. always look around for more, under the ferns and around the area/ also always cut at base.. do not pluck the mushrooms fully out of ground. its root I'll produce more many for next years harvest!
I just go to the nearest ranger station and sign up for a free year permit. There’s rules on how much you are allowed to harvest which the rangers will explain to you. Thank you for watching
@washingtonlife i pick mushrooms also as I hunt during the fall, they don't exist here, spring i get morels and pheasant backs, fall i get hen/chicken. Of the woods and oysters
@@ballistic350 oh that’s so weird how they don’t grow there but you still get some really tasty mushrooms like oysters and chicken of the woods. Thank you for getting back to me 😃🙏
Good job man. We should go clam or night crabbing on the Oregon side sometime together. Also, your kind leak the number on the house on the video bruh.
@@washingtonlife you can't do both in wintertime buddy. In fall/wintertime the water goes up really faster and, in the summertime, then the water goes down really longer than usual.
@@stevenyvas That’s a very great question and I did a lot of research on weather to pull or cut since there’s a lot of debate about it online. What I found is that if you pull or cut it doesn’t matter because they do not have roots. They are spread by spores so cutting them and letting the stem rotten in the soil can cause diseases in the soil that could harm the area. They say it’s better to pull the entire mushrooms out from the ground and make sure to smack them around or shake them to spread their spores and also good to have a basket with holes so when you are walking in the forest you’re helping to spread the spores around. Hopefully that helps. I made a few videos on how to correctly harvest mushrooms without destroying or damaging their environment. Thank you for watching and if you have any other questions please ask
