I enjoyed the new camera location and also the closeup on the block. The usual suspects visiting the yard, there is such a wonderful variety of wildlife attracted to your garden. I bet you have lots of butterflies during the day as well. I used to put out trail cameras when I managed a group of preserves in Florida. One of them was absolutely chock full of native flowering groundcover, shrubs, and trees and that property was host to the largest number of species of butterflies found anywhere in the USA. Alas, they don't really come across in trail camera video, I would have to take my video camera out to get video of all those butterflies. Have a great day, and thanks again for a nice little coffee break!

Now, there’s a thing. Yes we do normally get lots of Butterflies in our garden, we’ve recorded 11 different types and lots different Moths but last we lost one Butterfly, the Small Tortoiseshell and this year has been terrible, it started off really well we had a record number of Holly Blues and the other early Butterflies but then we had a wet cold Spring and it has been terrible. It isn’t just us. We have The Big Butterfly Count here run by Butterfly Conservation it runs for a month with 2 weeks to go a they are recording at the moment a record low count. I spent an hour this morning on a hot sunny day watching the garden which is full of pollinator friendly plants and I recorded no Butterlies, Bees or Hoverflies, it’s a bit worrying to say the least. Anyway, thanks for watching and commenting, stay safe and well.

@@RobMellowship That is concerning. When I first took over the management of the preserves the previous management had been MOWING all the flowering small shrubbery. It took a few years to restore that area, but once those flowering plants took hold again it was just magnificent. You could walk through clouds of butterflies. I hope the butterfly population in your area recovers, it is very concerning to lose pollinators. Yes, they aren't the heavy pollinators that honeybees are, but, butterflies and moths are still very important to the health of the ecosystems where they live. I love your channel, it's a breath of fresh air.
