I just put mine back together this weekend and it shifts but it will not prevent the Bronco from rolling. It feels like its not completely going into Park. Any idea on what I missed? I did wind up completely pulling the shaft out so maybe somethings not engaging in the engine bay?
Hi Jeff. Check the adjustment of the linkage going from the column to the transmission. Make the adjustment with the transmission in neutral. If that doesn't work, give us a call so our guys can get a more in depth description of your problem.
my 67 ranchero has a hole in the side of the shift collar. is there a fastener that attaches to the shift tube? The Fairlane collars look very similar, but like i mentioned, they have a hole for some reason. any input greatly appreciated! Also, if my shifter arm is worn or grooved, can i weld and "square" it up to better fit like an OE unit? nobody makes shifter parts. everything is new for floor conversions.
