We scroll through songs and watch talent shows. Everybody is a star. Everybody is "it". Yawn - give me something new, something refreshing - something to stir the soul. Yawn. Same old old, same old....... And then - Effie. Suddenly soulful, with vocal brilliance, those long, drawn out notes. Finally something to make me listen, really listen. An old soul, an old voice, an old delivery....a new star. Thank you for making me sit up and listen. I hope and pray you don't go away.

I do not make cavalier comments. This is one of - actually the most - complete, full bodied, emotive, controlled, wide ranging, purest, most beautiful voice I have ever heard. Thanks to the vagaries of the RU-vid logarithm I stumbled on this and have listened to several so far, from the first Idol audition to this one. I am absolutely gobsmacked. Completely eclipses other vocalists. And she has the stage presence and personality to make her instantly appealing. What a treasure. Thank you for completely derailing my focus as I stopped my work to search for Effie playlists. 😄
