Lol ever since I was a kid I went to batu caves with precaution and never had any attacks from them. Just take care of your stuff and make sure don't expose any food like stuff in your bags or pockets :)

I came close... Loudly telling it to Eff Off! did the trick but the next 3 seconds it was going to get punted. It bared its teeth and reached for my leg, threatening to bite if I didn't hand over my ice cream. Drew my leg back and that thing would be swallowing its own teeth if it didn't move, though happily my refusal to back down and loud shout worked.
