Cobra is one of our wild mustangs who doesn't like to be touched by humans. However, if you respect him and understand how to position your body and contain your energy, then he likes to explore YOU. Carlotta gives us a demo of exactly what that looks and feels like. Cobra was a stallion on the range for 7 years until he was rounded up and gelded. The Bible says in John 3:16-36 that whoever believes in the Lord Jesus Christ shall not perish but have everlasting life, the Bible also says in Romans 10:9 that those who declare with their mouth that Jesus Christ is their God, Lord, and Savior they shall be saved. Revelation 1:8 says that Jesus is the alpha and the omega. Luke and revelation is the ending times, and Jesus is returning back. So are you going to submit your life to him or no? Narrow is the path that leads to the gates of heaven, but only few people find it. The gates that is the path to destruction is where many people find it! Jesus loves you SO MUCH! Many years ago I was riding my quiet motorcycle through Wyoming when I saw this beautiful pronghorn out in a pasture. I pulled to a stop at a gate and tool out my camera. They're very skittish so it took some time to get a good picture. When I was done I turned around and saw about 15 horses gathered in the corner of that pasture staring at me. I put my camera away and strolled over there to say hi. Some in the back was straining to look over the rest and see what was going on up front. I reached up to touch the closest one and he seemed like he didn't want to be touched, so I didn't press the issue. So, I stayed there a little longer, talking to them and checking them out. I never grew up around horses and haven't been around them very often, maybe at a state fair, but that's about it. Eventually I had to go, and when I walked back to my bike they watched me all the way. It's one of those riding memories that will be with me forever.

If you know where Carmacks is in the Yukon Territory (Halfway from Whitehorse to Dawson City; Though I do not know where in Alaska you are located) There's a barn there that breeds Horses Just outside of town. If you'd ever want too be around them. The people are very kind. They go too church with my dad.

He rides all day and starts to nod off in the saddle when he notices he is about to ride straight over a cliff. Searching his memory, he yells to the horse, “Hallelujah! I found one of the best ways to work with nervous and wild horses was to take a chair and book and just sit in the field and read my book. Its amazing what happens. Being quiet around horses helps you get results.

Wow! It is wonderful to see this video using the freindship/companionship techniques I have been using successfully for decades. Techniques that have almost always gained me quick friendship and trust with friends horses, whom I've never met before. Even with difficult horses with which I was cautioned "be careful, _(name)_ doesnt warm up well to strangers". Surprising them when in a short time their horse and I become close friends. Though I have never dealt with wild horses, the same techniques are borderline miraculous with gentled, unfamiliar horses, even those who dont like strangers. Seeing your video putting those same techniques into practice with wild mustang's warms my heart! Thank you so much for sharing!

I used to work at a dog boarding facility that was family owned, they had 2 ponies there, and the black one really liked me he(or she) kept following me, and sometimes even leaned on my leg to be petted; and even tried pulling on my shirt lol he(or she) was a cute and funny pony

Perhaps I'm not sure of myself here and I can see you are very good with horses, but as life long horse owner the last thing we ever do is let any horse put their mouth on us. It can quickly turn to nibbling and then to biting. Glad to have this explained to me.

I'm not a horse person. I mean sometimes if I have been singing to much, I can get a little horse, but it goes away on its own, and I don't try to follow it. I don't even know where it goes. OK, since I'm being silly. What does a chicken say when it sees a piece of lettuce? Chicken sees a salad. No, all kidding aside, I was totally mesmerized, not only by the loving interaction between Carla and the horse, but also by the gentle narration of the interaction. Great video for the soul. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE people do not try and get close to wild horses. In a horses mind, you are either higher or lower in a herd. This can easily be seen in herd dynamics and watching their behavior. A horse following you around could actually be a horse thinking they are pushing you around and it can easily turn dangerous or even deadly if you don't know what you are doing. Horses kick each other all day long to establish pecking order, and a hoof to a horses chest has not the same impact as a hoof to a humans head. Please use common sense people and don't project our human psychology onto horses too much.

Alice Wilde Horses don’t discriminate. They see everything as the same. You are either higher or lower in the herd. And if a horse starts following you around and you don’t know the difference between following and pushing you could easily get hurt. I would NEVER approach a wild herd and try and interact (clearly in this video these mustangs are in captivity and she has been working with them so they are more used to her). But most people shouldn’t do this. Especially with a stallion around or mares with babies, but ultimately it doesn’t matter. Turning your back to a horse you don’t know, especially wild horses and thinking you are safe is just a bad idea. I have seen people get trampled and bit. There are plenty of RU-vid videos as well with horses not discriminating between humans and horses. If they think they are higher than you they will try and push you around or at very least turn their butt to you and ignore you.

Give me half an hour and a pocket full of good oatmeal cookies and I'd have Cobra eating out of my hands...literally...and accepting respectful petting at least around the neck and shoulders. I guarantee it. A good oatmeal cookie is the fastest way to a horse's heart.

If I know something about horses, the horse stands next to the horse one step ahead to show him his superiority in the herd. you take dominant positions and they react a little submissive and are a bit interesting. I can also be wrong
