Thank you Ensar and the brother who helped in filming this. For a newcomer "or more like latecomer" to the Oud world, it's such a shame that we wouldn't know what real "old wild" agarwood smells like. maybe it's still there but the price tag nowadays made it accessible to less number of enthusiasts. Thanks again and all the best.

Very informative. Everything has a price. Some we can’t buy with money but something else we can. But he did wonderful job. We easily fooled by many.

Thanks so much for bringing light to the business Ensar. I cannot imagine even in my dreams what the wild agar wood of two hundred years ago must have been.

Here in Lombardy, Milan, I knew agarwood from the high quality japanese incense in 1990. It was expensive but lovely, and smelled divinely, giving you the Absolute Sense of Trascendence. There were many high end niche perfumeries selling high quality agarwood jinkoh incense sticks with a darkish grey colour, Baiedo, Shoyeido, Daihatsu, Nippon Kodo, and at that time we still could appreciate wild agarwood powder in the recipe. I still have two of those old jinkoh agarwood incense sticks boxes from the '90s and the smell was totally different from nowadays. Now everything has changed, and the proof is the 'agilawood' stick I am burning just now: a pale 'aloeswood' paste that is definitely aquillaria wood, but it is not older than 4 or 5 years, and with no particular infection alchemical process. I'm not saying it is not good: but it is not the real deal. The vietnamese seller told me it was 'old agilawood'. Ironically depressing, especially if I think the East Asia wild forests have been burnt down in order to start the cultivated 'agarwood'. Sustainable? Are we really sure? Those who have smelled the real jinkoh and know it ( I don't know kyara but wild agarwood for sure ) can see there is an abyss from the jinkoh that is proposed now.Rich chinese people don't buy a Ferrari, nor diamonds or gold: they bought years ago wild agarwood in a very closed market of some renowned brokers and they carved Gods' images in it, then they put these oud statues in their caveaux and closed with special keys and combinations: those who posses wild, don't burn it. The Smell of the Gods cannot be mass market: as you said, it is the end of oud, and the total destruction of jinkoh.

Tony Bolton Agar aromas, I have been saying it for a long time now, Living here on the ground in Vietnam , even with all the family and extended family contacts , finding genuinely wild Vietnam Agarwood is a hard task, Not impossible but very very difficult, , You can pay up to a hundred dollars a gram for a few small pieces, Mostly the wild wood appears when someone who has stashed it for years gets short of money and reluctantly pulls a bit out to settle debts usually from gambling, It will never dry up but will become nearly priceless,

is it expensive because it is rare or is it expensive because it's scent is unmatched and that much better than anything else? Why pay 10x the amount just for rarity, it doesn't make sense unless it smells 10x better. Enlighten me.

Makes me wonder if a similar thing goes on with some essential oils. I bought 10 ml of Mryhh from local shop for £7.00.. wonder what a good Mryhh oil would cost ...
@laurenbray8314

Oh most definitely, lots of shady stuff goes on with essential oils. I only buy from solid longtime trusted sources in the community for my perfume making. Good Mryhh is not exactly cheap. $15 for 5 ml of co2 or essential oil where I buy from.

_It is easier to lie to people, then to convince them they have been lied too_ *True* Farm raised brook trout doesn't taste at all the same as native brook trout . That especially goes for beaver meadow native brook trout. I realize that I might be getting specific here , but to get to the beaver meadow native brooks , you literally have to hike back 5 miles uphill to get to those spots. The native brook trout look different too. There's more color in the spots and back to belly than the farm raised. The meaning has changed . The description should now give reference to either _Harvested or Cultivated_ Harvested in the wild. Cultivated in the wild. The later can't be true , for the word cultivate, _prepare and use (land) for crops or gardening_ . derives from the word culture which means , _of human intellectual achievement regarded collectively_ . When you use the word *Harvested* in conjunction with _in the wild_ , as long as the word _wild_ is clearly defined and has no lose associations , then the words used in terminology can give clear reference to which and or is. _Wild_ means without human intervention at inception . I think it's harder to change peoples thoughts on being lied when we look at the product being less than as compared to being more expensive . Why, well if you paid more, it can be a one shot deal type of event. You stole from me , so I will not be back and I will find the proper price for less. The other , because it's so much cheaper to acquire , I will adhere/believe the lie , and or make up one. The _less_ is almost a subconscious transition were the _more_ results in an alarm. It would seem you have your work cut out for you, even when presented with the cost differences and comparisons in this uploaded video. I get a kick out of the way words are used here in the states to describe grown vegetables . Stores seem to love to charge more , and get their price , when they use the word organic. Same lettuce, different prices just because it's billed as organic. You know what's organic about them ? Their grown in dirt. Grown locally differs than organic . What I just said , and what you've uploaded here are on different levels. I just wanted to mention it. Thanks and I hope to see more uploads from you and your team Ensar. Best wishes on your trip .
