The group was searching for kingfish when the mako shark took the bait and jumped onto the fishing charter. abc7.la/3GjdvXB #shorts #short #shortsclip #shortsvideo #shortsyoutube
It’s extremely well documented that they leap out of the water when hooked. I remember reading about it / seeing photos of it when I was in school 30 years ago
Actually that one is a pretty thick shark, a little to thick to be a mako. That is a porbeagle shark, a mix of a great white and a mako shark, hope this helps! 😊
Most of the Pacific, if your a fishing vessel, you can't catch sharks, the shark doesn't have to be endangered...I said most pacific countries not all. Also If your a local fisherman in most pacific islands countries you can catch for personal consumption but you can't sell it, the commercial sale of sharks and shark products like handicrafts made from shark tooth is prohibited in most pacific countries. I used to work in fisheries, attended meetings where pacific island countries come together and discuss fishing regulations and conservation, so I know Australia and New Zealand for sure have stricter laws than other pacific countries. Something like this if you don't have video evidence that it was an accident, fish and wildlife can really penalize you with huge $$$.
There are trillions of fish in the ocean and each mama fish can lay hundreds to even thousands of eggs at a time depending on the species. I think the fish population is okay with us humans fishing.
@@mrsavagemansgo look what happened to cod populations in the 60s and 70s. The advent of modern technology made fishermen way too efficient. We overfished the population of cod and now they’ve dwindled so much. They’re still recovering today
@@thefungshueshitter2833 yes it’s most likely true that they’re population is wayyyy lower than what it use to be but it’s nowhere near close to being extinct especially since that’s a fish millions of humans eat. So there a farms and laws to keep them safe and there are still millions of cod fish out in the wild.
Unless they were able to get it back in the water immediately, it’s probably dead. sharks breathe by ram ventilation, which means they have to constantly get water push through their gills or they die
I heard of one that leaped over a boat and landed in the water on the outside. Makos are the most dangerous shark they are lightning fast and ornery all the time
Shark: You wouldn't Believe the size of the boat I caught. There are about 6 humans in there, so they'll keep a few days till we get the party going. Then we'll break them out and toss a couple onto the Barbie, the rest was can just boil for a fisherman stew. Baby shark: Isn't it mean to just drop them in boiling water? Shark: son, they're humans. Their brains are tiny. Most of us believe they don't even feel pain, and this way nothing goes to waste. Baby shark: oh. Okay then. Can I have extra butter on mine? I can! Thanks Dad.
Shark1: you know Chad I think I wanna be a flying fish! Shark2: don’t do it John 1: but why not I think I’m gonna do it 2: no 1: why!??? 2: just don’t. Remember Lisa 😬😵 1: I’m gonna do it. WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!! 2: NOOOOOOOO. Ooh it’s lunch time bye John 😋
