I walked some time ago, I do not wish to be overly maudlin, to a grave where his great love lay buried. It was a remote Sussex churchyard and I sat on a church bench where he later joined me. He was aware that some girl had also left me and died aforetime. We sat like old friends awaiting Godot who never came. It was the most exquisite expression of friendship I have ever come across. We walk into wildernesses and find solace if not love therein.
Reminds me of the Artist's Valley near Macchynlleth, used to be a many trout up there as i recall. Wherever it is it looks great nice video, i noticed this time the sheep was sans attitude lol, you made a friend. Nice one.
If you find your preferred plunge pool occupied, head upstream a bit and take one of your chocolate bars out of its wrapper and throw it in the river. (Snickers bar is a good choice for this). Five minutes after the screams die down, guarantee the plunge pool will be unoccupied. You're welcome. :)
The great problem with Hardraw Warerfall or force is that for decades afterwards Kevin Costner, Prince of Thieves, would lurk behind scrub or Victorian bandstand and demand money. His career then was somewhat in abeyance, yet now renewed. It is a lovely waterfall, don't get me wrong. By chance, and this is absolutely true I almost froze to death nearby except by setting fire to the waiting room of a local station. A donkey and I, he being adjacent, watched the station inadvertently burn. "You know donkey, somebody is going to take the rap for this". True story Lilu. The donkey pleaded King's evidence against me. Floppy eared grass. I would have got away with it apart from those meddling lilus. With best wishes. Nick.

Hi Lilu, relatively new sub here we have been catching up on some of your adventures and really enjoy your content. Exciting to know there is a part two to this adventure, looking forward to watching this. I'm not sure if it was Middle Seal Clough that you started to go up, but apparently there are some really nice plunge pools along there with places to picnic. Check out Kevin Stark's RU-vid channel, he did a whole video on this and is great at taking you to the more hidden gems of the Peak District. Isn't that a happy sight, a girl and her plunge pools. Wild swimming really rocks - not in the Hodder though - it smells and there's too much green algae and some frothy murky stuff. Happy Trails Lisa.
If you like cold water swimming next time you are in Spain you need to go to Pou Clar, big pools with big fishies, but the water comes straight out of the mountains. Brrrr.
