Wild Thing POV 

That first drop scared the shit out of me when I rode it as a kid.

Why does the drop look so frickin tiny on screen, it’s freaking HUGE in real life

Bruh whenever I ride this thing I get maaadd anxiety while going up but after you hit the first slope it’s sooo much fun

Growing up in Minnesota I would always look forward to going to VallyFair couple times every summer since the early 80's!!!! Miss that place!!!

Is it just me or does the drop look wayy smaller and less steeper?

These are one of the times I love riding coasters. The sunset :) but it’s also fun at night

*sigh* this really really really makes me miss the summertime in Minnesota.

To anyone who hasn't rode this in real life, the steep is WAY more than you think.

I looked this up because when I rode it the first time I passed out and the second time I passed out again to I had to experience it on RU-vid to see wth I did

I was so scared to ride this and went on it & realized it was the best ride ever. Went on it a total of 3 times back to back. Such a good coaster. Love the sunset

I strongly recommend that they lighten off on the breaks halfway through the ride because after that it turns from Wild Thing to Mild Thing (and you shouldn't want that at all).

I went on this 4 times today and it’s now my new favorite ride.

Better than it's predecessor Magnum XL-200. I remember as a kid when Excalibur's hill looked huge. Then they doubled its size with Wild Thing. I can't remember my first ride but I must have been very nervous. Now I'm doing 300ft Millennium Force coasters!

Most nerve-wracking part by far is the lift up LOL Everything else is incredible. I'm a roller coaster and adrenaline junkie and the first hills still get me every time.

To everyone who is scarred of this ride so 2 years ago I wouldn’t go on anything I thought I would fall out get sick and then I went on the wild thing and ended up going on every ride a valley fair it is not that bad trust me

This one is actually really bumpy if you’re up front. If you’re in the middle/back it’s a lot smoother.

the drop looks so tiny on screen, i can assure you you’re about 250+ feet in the air and you start levitating off your seat when you drop, its awesome!

What a fun ride. That first slope is a pain though.

I went on this ride an couple weeks ago, it was honestly one of the best moments of my life.

Been on this with friends before.....I was mortified, but I liked the after-feeling for some reason. Saw my picture on the screens after the ride and I looked dead lmao

I still love WF to this day. Was there next in line the day of its mishap fifteen or so years back but she’s looking better than ever. Thanks for posting ❤

When Wild Thing first opened at Valleyfair I was so afraid of it cause it's so HUGE! Now, I LOVE this ride and try to ride it as many times as I can!! (along with all the other coasters) Can't wait to go to Valleyfair this summer!! 💕🎢🎡🎠

I went to Valley Fair a month ago and this was my first big ride at Valley Fair, and when we went down the first hill I couldn't breath because of how fast the ride was going through the air.

Rode this in 8th grade when my muge braver friend talked me into it; by the time we got to the platform, my legs were shaking so badly I could barely stand up!

The first rollercoaster I ever rode when I was 8🥰 I moved away from MN in 2008 and haven’t been there since but definitely want to visit again someday!

Growing up, I remember going to Valleyfair on the first and last weekend of Summer Break. That was in the 1990s. This is bringing back good memories.

Wild Thing, Steel Dragon 2000's Little Brother!

I love this ride it’s my fav at Valleyfair

Never been on this thing and I’m almost 24. Always been scared of it. On my last trip to Valleyfair last year, I finally decided I should try it. However, when I finally decided I was ready, it was revealed it was closed early for technical difficulties. Whenever I eventually get back, I wanna try it to finally get it over with, but seeing that long upward climb makes my stomach drop.

One of the most gentle hyper coasters if your trying to start getting into big coasters this and steel force over at dorney park are great

When I did this I regretted life when we starting going up then when we went down I legit thought I was coming out the of the strap and legit was screaming so loud

You can see Delirius still being constructed if you look next to steel venom.

Wild Thing. The name is a great homage to the popular 60s song by The Troggs. I used to ride this again and again when visiting this park, even since the age of 8, and was my very first ride on a hypercoaster, and that I also rode on its sister roller coaster - The Mamba at Worlds of Fun, only the latter has a darker theme. And just as the name of the roller coaster says, it IS wild! Make no mistake, with a ride as intense as this, this makes it the #1 ride in the park for anyone to lose their phones and other items if they can't abide to the loose articles policy. What's hard about people on tech overload putting their items in those storage bins on the other side of the station before boarding the ride? Plus parks these days are putting up signs with damaged loose item examples on display as the result for if anyone bothers to take them on the ride and forgets that loose article containers at the station exist and that there are signs ruling against taking them on the rides.

I've never gone on the wild thing. My friends and ex tried pulling me into the line and I sat on the ground. I was VERY difficult to peer pressure haha. The Excalibur and even the Renegade were almost too much for me, since I'm not a roller coaster kinda person. No way in HELL I was doing the wild thing lol

First time I ever rode this was at night for ValleyScare and I remember the drop almost killing me, also at the end when we hit the brakes the couple in the car behind us was laughing like crazy because my friends hat flew off on the first drop and smacked them in the face. They caught it for my friend.

BRO THE DROP WAS INSANE like sitting in your seat YOUR FLOATING WHILE IT DROPS AND IT FEELS LIKE FALLING OUT OF A BUILDING WHILE SOMEONE PUT WEIGHTS ON YOUR BACK 😭😭 i was shaking after riding it 2 times its insane especially that tunnel it’s so unexpected and it gets dark as soon as you enter and they took photos It’s so crazy. Even tho the line is fricken long THE WAIT IS DEFINITELY WORTH IT IM TELLING YIU

My friend who had never been on this ride went with with me and we got stuck so yay

I went on this and survived. I plan going again when I’m 17. No doubt this ride really is mega fun and stuff. I recommend it to anyone who wants some adrenaline early.

i went on in and i almost passed out i was crying reallllly hard. the drop was like STRAIGHT down its was pretty bumpy

i went to valley fair and there was little kids on it! it’s so fun and if your nervous its ok to be. Just believe in yourself. Just remember if you go on the ride have fun:) Just scream,put your hands up, and have fun!😁

Hey imjust realized that vallyfair could pull an alton towers and just dig a 30 foot hole to put their giga's drop in #valleyfairgiga

So i went there like 2 weeks ago and went on that and i flew up on some of the hills and did it in the picture tunnels and i felt like i was gonna hit one of the supports came back to see my picture and i had a chubby face mouth was wide open

I was just at valley fair 3days ago I went on the wild thing seven times!!

The first steep IS HORRIFYING but 10/10 rollercoaster

When I went on this ride last year it was raining so hard and it felt like we were getting pelted by rocks and chunks of ice but it added to the wild part of the wild thing so I’m happy

Wish they’d chill with the trims. That last half could be legendary if you weren’t crawling through it

My family lived in ND when I was a kid. We went to VF when I was 9, and I chickened out of riding this. I regretted it for a whole year, but thank God we ended going again. I looked my fear in the eyes, and said “AHHHHH!!”

i always tell myself "don't worry, once you're done with the first drop, it's light work" but then i always end up chickening out

Every years there’s this group that takes to to valley fair, this year was my first time going and it was really fun, and I enjoyed the rides! Unfortunately I didn’t get to ride this one but definitely going again next year to ride this!

I went to valley Fair the same year twice and it was within a month. Super great place the only thing bad is the overpriced food On the second bump you also levitate in the air for 3 secs which is also awesome

I was on that coaster in opening day. Loved it. But it's time for a new one Cedar fair.

I went on this today but am watching because I had my eyes closed the whole time XD

I was super scared to ride it…then I did and for the first 3 times I loved it. Then came the 4th time and we sat in the back and I got ejector air time for the first time ever. And now I’m iffy on getting on it. Will still ride some other coasters though

The best part is when you fly up and are no longer touching the seat during the 1st drop. (You have to be thin to experience it though.)

Why doesn't Knott's Berry Farm have a ride like this?

Renegade is scarier because it's faster and has a steeper drop, but just going up Wild Thing is so scary, seeing how high you are. It's fun once you drop.

This looks so much more fun than people give it credit for. Based on the POV's, this looks better than Magnum.
