Thanks for the unboxing and a deeper dive into the guidebook and card spreads. I have seen a few videos that show the cards but they didn't give a closer look at the book content so I do appreciate you doing that for us. I do have all of her other decks and I am considering buying this deck to add to my collection as well.
You are so welcome! I am always curious about the guidebooks so I go into them as best I can on a first look though. I am loving the deck and book! Today I did a three card pull and was blown away by the messaging 💞
Many Thanks 🙏 for doing this unboxing I am so grateful. I love ❤️ your video and can’t wait to see what else you come up with reading future Kim Krans combinations
I have mixed feelings about the wild unknown archetypes deck, I prefer not to use the book as the messages are as mixed as the images in the cards. I will use this deck only using my intuition and using the imagery of the cards to dig into any thought, idea, feeling, or memory in my heart and overall experiences to spark any sort of interpretations. This deck should be used freely and let yourself go. Pros: Kudos for the artist in getting her "art" across within a beautifully presented and delightfully packaged deck. Cons: As with any contemporary art, is always open to interpretation and not focused on anything in particular. Conceptual art is a shameful perversion of the concept of creativity and freedom. The corruption of art and that the only thing that sustains it is money, because the day it falls, hundreds of art collections, that is, millions of dollars in works, will become nothing, in a painful anecdote of a decadent society. I feel that lately, artists are recurring to creating oracles, decks, and tarot decks to sell and expose their art (easy $$$$). That's all. The relation of the cards to the archetypes can be relative, allow yourself room to *not* agree with Krans’ definitions while still appreciating the mixture of messages. In my opinion, the deck is a mixture of visuals, meanings, phrases, words, and ideas. Another use of these cards as well as using your intuition is to display them around your house so as to cause confusion and see the reactions of your visitors. Also, these cards make really great glass coasters!
Thanks for sharing. I can feel your excitement and appreciate spending your time on the book. Putting your collection by the same author is really impressing. I'm totally agree with you 👍🏻
This is my second time watching your video. I watched it before I got the deck and watching again now that I have it. I just noticed that on your spread, the Uno and Duo both have the Ouroboros - the snake eating its tale in two different forms! Talk about synchronicity! I would love to know what you think now that you have worked with them for a year. I have her Animal Spirit cards and plan to get the Archetype cards next. I have Emi Brady's tarot cards and think that deck will work great with Kim's oracle decks.
This is definitely a deck that I use for a certain type of reading, not an all the time deck. I mainly use it for personal readings, not so much for client readings. I like to use it on it's own, as I feel it has it's own language and doesn't need another deck to complete its message. If I had to choose between this and the archetype deck, I'd choose the archetype deck. I might do a follow up video to go deeper into my thoughts and how I use it
@@itslauramorrison I'm so jealous 😭 I still have deep work to do with her archetypes deck, so I don't want to get this new one too early. But I am definitely going to own it once I've internalised all her wisdom on the archetypes.
@@itslauramorrison also, just wanted to say that I love your appreciation for her decks!!! A lot of people brush her work aside because it requires almost academic type of study, rather than a normal oracle deck that you just read instantly and intuitively. But that's exactly why I love her work!!!
@@terriw6116 aw thank you! Yes they have to be studied and integrated, especially this one and her Archetype work, but that's also part of what I love so much, really immersing myself in this wisdom and also making it my own. I continue to find new wisdom in the Archetype deck, and will continue to, there are always more and more layers 💖
This was a thoughtful and sweet review. I love how you mixed the decks together at the end. Also how you reviewed the book. Thank you for your intuitive resonse.
Thank you for your unboxing this unknown set of cards, the presentation was sweet and convincing. I am now going to get this deck, they look like my kind of cards.
Hello, fellow Laura! Thank you for a great unboxing and overview. I just ordered this deck and will be deep diving. If you are ever interested in chatting / studying together, let me know! Enjoy your deck! 💙🌻
Thanks for putting them all together. They do look great together. I have all her decks except the alchemy one. I feel like some of the cards in the alchemy are just lazy work. They aren't all really usable. Only about 60% of the cards are. I also found out through the comments in another video that some of these cards have mistakes in their names and symbols. That's very disappointing to me, since I was looking forward for this. I wonder if these errors will be fixed in the next printing.
Beautiful deck! Kim Krans has some really unique artwork and I love the concept of the deck. Also the book looks amazing! However I have to say I’m not sure about the hexagon shaped cards haha. I feel like I’d prefer if they were round like the Archetype deck. Thanks for sharing! :)
Thank you for the unboxing video and the reading! Definitely resonated with me!! This deck had been sitting in my Amazon cart for a while and I will getting these now. Thank you!!!🙏
@@inannashu689 you can try ordering them now and see if they ship eary or they will be available next week :) I'd check your local bookstore/card shop. I ordered mine online from indigo because I'm Canadian
i just ordered this deck and am excited! it will be my first one from kim krans :). which was your first? do you have a favorite? a friend who reads tarot recommended i try the rounded archetypes cards but i hadn't gotten them yet. i've been working with an alchemic healer so when this deck was announced it felt aligned :D. will you be attending her virtual workshop? x
I got the animal spirit first, and absolutely love it, it is still to this day one of my most used decks. then I got her archetype deck and it took me a while to really bond with the deck and understand how to use it, because it has it's own system, but now I love it so much. I just recently got the mini version of the tarot and I'm really connecting with it. I had never been called to the larger version, but I am enjoying the mini so much I might now get the regular sized too. And yes i will be attending her workshop, so looking forward to it :) let me know how you like the deck when it arrives :)
@@hijennwu I don't feel comfortable sharing it here publicly, if you can private message me on instagram same user name and I can share it with you. The email is from zoom, not kim krans and labeled wild Unknown private workshop, so try searching your email for that :)
ohhh that is a hard question and depends what you're looking for, I have worked with Archetype longer and since I love archetypes, I'd probably say archetype deck, I also really love the spreads in the guidebook, and know how to work with the system really well, but that's also because I have had longer with it. Alchemy is newer but also amazing, but I am currently learning how to work with it in ways that work best for me and my style of reading. So in a few months my answer may change but right now Archetype deck, if I really had to choose. But I will say in the short time I've had Alchemy the readings have been so bang on and really expansive. It's hard to choose because they are both different and together they tell a whole story. It's like Archetype deck is the Who, and Alchemy is the how, what and why. So together they really build a strong set. Which one are you leaning towards?
