@@XpVersusVista Not too sure about that. You can really create your own classes based of the abilities and weapons you give to each of the general archetypes.
Unexpected top quality game, your characters age, they grow, and have stories of their own. They can die, too. They fall in love, they have kids, they chase dreams and make terrible decisions... It’s those subplots, and the chaotic and enjoyable battles that make your characters unusually meaningful, rather than just numbers. It's recommended to play this game with a controller, as the mouse can take some of the gritty crime-thriller drama away from the game. The storyline isn't like Game of Thrones despite the use of satirical analogues to the main stars of Thrones. The game is about legacy and books, stories and people, the characters know they're not real, which adds to the realism of the fantasy immersion. Not to be played alone though, it gets quite complicated and you will need emotional support if your characters are injured, maimed, homeless or overly flirtacious. Its possible for your characters to have kids, but impossible for them to have kids with each other. Its up to the player to realize the only route to reproduction, which explains the Blue Chew sponsored 24 hour livestream of Wildermyth taking place at launch weekend.
Underrated AF. This has to be the best narrative I've read from a game since Disco Elysium and DOS2, and the RPG mechanics and character's development are just amazingly well done
Seriously if you like the look of it play the game, worst case senario you refund it after an hour. Also if you are an avid modder help out the modding community ;D
The game isn’t really that hard I’ve only played on normal though. You can fight optional battles that develop your characters and give you loot and xp
There are several "campaigns" now, and then also more generic 3 and 5 phase campaigns too with a central enemy/theme but less scripted than the others!
