Wilderness Gathering 2023

In August my sister Holly and I went to the wilderness gathering in Wiltshire. This was our second time, after having a great time the previous year. Didn't get the camera out to often as we were busy with classes and making new friends. there is an instructional video on the bow drill, which was given by Tara Crank of woodland survival. Thankyou Tara.

im interested now iv never used bow drill but it be interesting to learn iv got military background so know quite a lot about survival some of witch transcribes to bush crafting area i live in is valley it rains 90% the time so finding dry tinder is verry difficult my usual way start fire is silver birch and fire steel or as lost resort because i was military iv still got lots hexamine so i always put hexamine cooker in my pack just incase

Thanks Ian. I’m new to this myself. Been doing this for just over a year now. At this present time I’m self taught. Which really just means practice practice. And a lot of watching you tube videos. I don’t know if your a subscriber or not. But a really good channel is TA outdoors. Can’t beat the hexamine burner though. 👍 Thankyou again Ian.
