It's so beautiful seeing that our cousins the Black Aboriginal Australians are singing in their languages. They have just as much talent and magic as us Black Africans and African Americans. The oldest people on the earth aka Aboriginal Australians need to get globally appreciated and popular for their talents, history, heterige, music, languages, culture, and existinence!👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
This Wadjela is keen to ensure others like me learn the True history of this country. In the 50's all we learnt was British History. May have some importance but not prominence over indigenous history and culture. You have every right to feel PROUD!
This is beautiful seeing young indigenous people singing in their own languages, i don't understand the exact words all the time, but for me it's how the music is expressed. Well done.
I am an Aboriginal man from the western side of Cape York peninsula and I speak Wik mungkan language I don't understand the language but I love the song Greetings my people from the western side of Cape York peninsula👍🏾👍🏾
That's great. Yes I too don't understand the language. I am a Yamatji/ Yuet woman on the west coast of Australia. But I do know that this is the only song that as ever touched my soul, healed it and gave me hope towards the referendum and constitutional life of our people?
I just love this song. I'm First Nations and in some weird way...I feel like their singing about life and freedom and pain. I'm so in love with this song. I love it....I wish someone would send me the lyrics in English so we can sing in our group. Anyone know how I can get the lyrics..and tell these young aboriginies that I said we're gonna sing their song here in Pierceland, Saskatchewan, Canada!!! Awesome job guys!!
Good luck to you you weren’t more advanced we where rich in our culture we had a way of living you vile human are culture was advanced we didn’t do anything to you all we did was help you and then we got a slap in the face our land stolen ancestors murdered stolen generation culture lost language loss we barely have nothing left but we are still surviving we will never give up to disgusting racist people like you who praise murders and rapists with sick and twisted minds honestly disgusting 🤮🤮

I think it's awesome and weather or not I understand Aboriginal it's about time these forgotten great people got recognition globally for their talents in the world. I love music from non mainstream bands.
"Hi, I am incredibly proud of you. Your pride in being Aboriginal and the songs you sing always melt my heart. Thank you, my Wild Flower, I am deeply touched by your songs, even though I may not understand a single word, there are moments I feel I am connected. The only thing I know is that I reside (or am connected) at the beautiful Gadigal Country, Euroa Nation. I want to express my heart felt and deepest gratitude to all First Nation People, including Eddie Mabo, Charles Perkins, Cathy Freeman, and Noel Pearson, and you for sharing your beautiful moments and songs with us. By the way, I have a great appreciation for Victoria, and I strongly believe that the measure taken by Danel Andrews liberate us and we should decide what we want to do: we should abolish the Empire Game once and for all. Our athletes have so many opportunities without having to serve as slaves to traders like Charles, Camilla, Kate, and William. We have World and Asian Championships, not to mention the Olympics. It's time to move beyond the Commonwealth Slave Traders Game. Moreover, I admire Rihanna and what she did for the Caribbean." especially to Barbados " Last but not least, I vote YES to the upcoming referendum, I believe you Wild Flower, your team and me will make difference to our First Nation of Australia= 65,000 years old. = do you remember the 1992 High Court of Australia decision= Terra Nilus- Dear Wild Flower join us and spread the benefit of saying YES to our MOB. Thank you 🦘🦆🙏

WadjilaCherokeeX Thanks for info on the band. I love this song. Stumbled across it a few years ago. Never heard any ridiculous stories. Also saw them on NTV. But know nothing about them.
Sooooo uplifting!! and fantastic melodies and WOW what a voice you have Jean! and a band FULL of very talented musicians!! Thank you! and hey..you have a beautiful smile..Peace light love :) xo ROCK ON!!
I loved that I didn't have a clue what the song was saying, but was kind of like a mini spiritual experience. Their sounds are awesome. Modern music just cannot compete for soul and spirit...as well as just a darn good tune.
Good to know that. Thanks. Someone got their wires crossed, somewhere. This song is in my list of favourite Aboriginal bands and I listen to it regularly. Such a delightful voice. Hope she's still singing.
I've just heard this for the first time. A very beautiful song, very well done, simply awesome even though I don't understand the language or what the song is about. Certainly got me in a good mood and lifted my spirit and I'm a Greek-Aussie, Melbourne suburban dweller.
Just some info if you are interested the song is sung in the Kunwinjku dialect and the speakers number from 1000 to 2000 who live around Arnhem Land an area of about 97,000 km² and approx 500 km from Darwin in the Northern Territory.
Thank you all out there for the positive posts... Too many use this forum to rant and deride, it so pleasing to find an item that can generate love not hate and for all the right reasons.
Such a lovely voice. Young and was full of smiles. You will always brighten up our days and nights. You will never be forgotten. Yours fans and family loves you. be forgotten.
You mob too deadly! Keep singing and sharing your language and culture to the rest of us on this continent and the world. Nyudu chopi dundai Love from all the far north Queensland Bama!
A classic example of how universal music is and should be, I do not understand the words but in reality I have never been one to dissect the song before excepting how it makes me feel, this is so captivating, the band contagiously joyous and the lead an angel and yes, to those that doubt, they do come in all colour's
From a 64 yr old in South Africa, feel the same way, I judge music by how it makes me feel, and brother I love this band, the music brightens my day, don't need to understand the words

Thanks to 'Wadjila' for giving us all the details about this Great Band - "Wildflower". Jean Burrunali has the most beautiful and haunting voice. Would love to hear more.
Ive loved this band since I first saw this several years ago... such talent!!! and the girls voice is something else... keep rocking the music you mob!!
The emotion shared though this song and music is powerful and heartfelt. Especially as I write this message, Galiwin’ku is in Covid lockdown. My only language is English, which makes me sad that i cant fully appreciate the story that is this beautiful song.
