I was a hot shot for a short time on the Angeles and an engine crew person. Bear divide hot shots also worked at valyermo mill creek and Monte Christo stations as an engine crew person. Great job

I've ran that trail as a hotshot in 2012. There is a sign at the top that holds the record times to the top. Fires down there are crazy

The best and most dangerous place to learn about being a wildland firefighter. Angeles National Forest. There we were taught to fight the fire on the ridgetop when we could. because of downslope winds That was a real gamechanger. Yes you become a "mountain goat " after a season with them.

@@Landmark717 is they hybrid crews that do both sucture and wildland?
@Landmark717

@@emmanuelawosusi2365 Great question! Yes, ANF fire crews carry out structure protection too, including the defense of Mount Wilson (in cooperation with other fire agencies) during 2020's Bobcat Fire -Mark

@@Landmark717 there’s another one known as Paramedic Intern Withdrawal. When your intern completes their 20 shifts with you and your partner, you have to start writing your own prehospital patient reports again!
