About the 4th time I sometimes bring my foldable aluminum ladder hoping that a higher standpoint will serve the composition. Of course levitation would be a lot easier - I think ;O) Ansel Adams used a platform mounted on his truck, but that requires a road, which most of the time is missing.
Good idea! Yes a higher standpoint is very beneficial for birds in trees. I am really surprised at how much better a shot can look with just a bit of an elevation boost.
