2:24 - OH GOD, I REMEMBER THIS EPISODE!!! I felt so bad for Wile E. during this scene of _Fastest with The Mostest._ He climbs up a cliff and ALMOST SUFFERS FROM VERTIGO. After he finally gets up and pants over how he managed to get through that traumatizing experience, the Road Runner shows up, scares him, and he falls down the cliff AGAIN. He did NOT deserve that...

I'm pretty sure the episode where he launches a bunch of rockets at Roadrunner and the whole rest of the episode is spent with him getting blown up by those rockets counts as a legendary fail.

That was the one thing I liked about Looney Tunes characters like the Road Runner and Speedy Gonzales as they not only like to run super fast but suddenly appear behind characters like Sylvester,the Coyote and Daffy Duck saying they're signature calls and scaring the living daylights out of them making them jump up into the air is really hilarious.

When I watch Wile E, Coyote chase and fail to catch the Road Runner I feel like a successful person. But then, I have never chased a Road Runner!

The "Ahab" harpoon gun is a really clever literary reference. Because Wile E. is a bit like Capt. Ahab, without all the boring-as-shit dialogue.

Another good example of "Fail" vs "Epic Fail" is in the episode "To Beep Or Not To Beep," more specifically the section with the catapult. It starts out as regular fails, by the 4th attempt it's starting to veer into epic fail territory, and when we hit the 6th attempt the epicness factor has become a fact.

How can it be a "failure" of any kind when the rules are deliberately set against you? According to legend, Chuck Jones set rules for the coyote that kept him from prevailing ( www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/see-9-strict-rules-road-779723) You cannot fail if there is no way to succeed. The Coyote is faced with a "Kobayashi Maru" situation in every encounter.

Who's the strongest comic character, anime character or cartoon character? Is it Thanos? Dr Manhattan? Son Goku? Nah. It's Wile. E Coyote. Genius. You can cut him, squash him, blow him up, smash him to atoms and he'll just reappear all healed up. What really makes him the strongest of all is that negative reinforcement doesn't work on him lol. 🤣

You know I think the Road Runner is playing with the Coyote I think he actually enjoys the chase and the fact of the Coyote never giving up I actually think the Road Runner likes it the Coyote's injenuty and the will to never give up and all the elaborate traps the Coyote comes up with trying to catch him.

Sad thing about that "epic fail" is that I watched him go through all that, and the part that I laugh at is him saying "I wouldn't mind, except he defies the law of gravity."

Wile E's greatest epic fail is at the end of "Operation: Rabbit" when Bugs Bunny pulls his shack full of nitroglycerin carrots onto the railroad tracks. When Wile E. sees the train coming at him, all he does is pull the shade down...and his eyes roll back into his head because his doom is imminent.

To be perfectly honest, I have to disagree with you, AgentGold. Every one of Wile E.'s fails is an epic fail.

Epic fail is when Wile E is outsmarted b the Road Runner by the Road Runner using one of his contraptions against him instead of just escaping from it.

I always laugh my ass off at the massive metal plate Coyote placed in the road. It does not work for him. The chase with him CRASHING into this road plate with his Leg Vitamins aiding him to burn up the road chasing Road Runner literally SLAMMING into this road plate is just classic HILARIOUS! I still laugh at this gag even though I am now 60 years +. Love this must!!!
