We've always had injury prone seasons. Warriors in 2019 Cavs in 2015 Warriors in 2016 2020 had Steph Klay KD out for the entire seasons along with another ton of injuries.
I've come to the conclusion that LBJ is a sore loser. He walked off 2 times during that series the Lakers lost. Showed zero sportsmanship in those losses. He quit in the GSW series in that Game 1 overtime and came out with a wrapped hand at the press conference. There's always an excuse.

He had a 5 month break before the bubble and they only played for 6 weeks and they won that so called (Title) with no fans or travel... The players wanted the season to start when it did with the shortened schedule...Now he's complaining and making excuses for his early exit in the first round...Welcome to the Western Conference Lebron this isn't The Bubble...It's a little tougher with travel and dealing with fans in opposing Arenas and alot more real competition in The West than it was in The D League East competing against The Raptors and The Pacers and 76ers and The Celtics...Just refer to the 6 Losses you have against The West in The Finals while you were in The Big Bad Eastern Conference.
Many of these injuries were just normal basketball injuries. He's trying to inject himself into the spotlight because he's out of the playoffs again. The dude is a phony on everything he says. Funny how the non-players are the nay sayers. And you can turn a blind eye to the fact that every team that went deep in last years post season were ALL bounced in the 2nd round or less. Every team. The Hawks and the Nets either didn’t make the playoffs or were bounced in the 1st round. Limited recovery is going to have an impact. Ask the pro basketball players. Not the guys that have never played a minute of pro basket ball.

They had time off but could not workout. If you remember they were told not to attend any gyms. Those that had their own gyms were told no one could workout with them. Guys didn’t pick up a ball because they thought the season was over.

1. Lots of teams had plenty of rest last bubble season. 2. Most stars did even play full schedule because of the "load management" culture they have been doing for years. 3. Lot of the high profile injuries happened on court like landing on someone's foot, knees colliding, awkward falls etc. which happen regardless if you play more or less games.
Wiley should consider using more than the one set of data along with journaled mixed method reseach that reveals limitations and implications for the future.

Listen 8 teams did not return to finish there seasons last year and one of those teams was the warriors and the were plagued by injuries this year. Another was the pelicans they only played 8 games in the bubble and did not make the playoffs even with the long layoff and zion and ingram both got hurt t his year still. The nets got beat in the first round last year and kyrie and kd did not play in the bubble and they still got hurt this year.
they've had back to back 70 game seasons. LeBron missed 20 games prior to the pandemic, then had 2 months off before the bubble tourney, now he missed a month and a half this year with injury. Ya this maybe true but if you look at the teams in the playoffs right now, almost every team has injuries to their star players. With Utah, Donavan Mitchell was just coming back from an ankle injury and is still a little hobbled as well as Mike Conley hasn't played a game yet. Milwaukee didn't really have any injuries except for Donte Divincenzo who was one of their starters. Clippers Kawhi Leonard is inquired again, Philly Joel Embiid is playing on a torn meniscus as well as danny green is gone for the playoffs. Denver who just lost didn't have Jamal Murray, the Heat had a ton of injuries throughout the year and couldn't get anything going. The Celtics didn't have Jalen Brown, the Nets have Kyrie and James Harden injuried, Lakers had Lebron and AD injured. The Trailblazers and Mavericks are the only teams who didn't really have any injuries that were there from last year. Phoenix, Atlanta and the Knicks didn't have any real injuries except for Chris Paul and they were chilling at home last season. The issue is that now a lot of the star players are the ones getting injured, when was the last time there was a playoffs with these many star players being injured.
I coulda sworn Lebron spoke about this during the offseason. And then people got mad at him for complaining. He then spoke about this during the regular season and then people once again got mad at him for complaining. He finally spoke about it before the all star game and people still thought he was complaining. So many superstars have gotten injured this year that it has dropped the NBA ratings. Whether you like Lebron or not, whether you think he is saying this to build a narrative or not, its clearly obvious that this season was a disappointing one based on the amount of injuries and lack of rest time.

Teams that went deep into the playoff will be affected more than teams who got bounced early. They went a few weeks after into the new season, so players will be carrying fatigue or minor injuries into the new season. So that negates the 4 months off.

This is silly. The players effectively lost 2 months of games but only 10 games were removed from the season. Each team plays roughly 20 games by Xmas, if not more. Everyone should've taken a hit and agreed on a 52-62game schedule. NBA games aren't playground games. You can't play NBA level ball sun-up to sundown, daily, like you can playground hoop. Guys need treatment, rest & practice followed by treatment and rest between games. 1 day off isn't enough with so many back to backs.
To the players who complain yet they make millions of dollars. We average people go to work everyday for years and we dont make that much. Players make millions on a short season and they complain.
I was comparing BJ to Lebron. He got up on the stump and tried to run a weak play by strong players including the public. Now after being caught he did what was expected or what Lebron would do. He tried to weasle out. The only difference is Lebron would turn into a crybaby. I'm not a hater. Love his skills except for his ability to reach full potentials. BJ was getting skinned alive and was crying. Notice his body language, studdering and just carrying on. He might fool some people sometimes but he can't fool all the people all the time.
The numbers they’re using are very skewed in their favor. Not every team went to the bubble and played the same amount of games. The last two teams had MUCH less time to come back. While a team like the knicks had a longer time to recover and properly train. They should pull numbers of the injuries on teams that went deep into the bubble and I’m sure they’ll find a higher injury rate. Too bad the numbers they pull are always biased lol
If your job shortened your breaks and extended your work hours you wouldn't like it. Then I would say you still work there so you agreed to it. We think rich athletes can be treated badly because they make more than us. But remember the owners make more than players. Seems to me owners and tv are greedy

I get what lebron is saying but i did not hear him say this during the lockout condensed season when he won his first title of his career when half the playoff teams were hurt in the east and you know why because it benfited him. When he won a title with the season being postponed 4 plus months and no traveling when season returned and half the playoffs teams were hurt again he said nothing and you know why because it benfited him. This year it does not benfit him then he is going to say something what a hypocriet he is.

Lazy players and coaches!!! There 12 to 15 guys on a roster. Most coaches maybe use 9. If they actually coached and developed and use these dudes getting paid millions, your entire teams stays fresh and healthier and the moral is up cuz everyone is involved!!! They are burning out the best players by refusing to use the other 75 percent of the league. Each team got about 6 cheerleader players that never see the floor every night!!!
