Best damn video I've watched for wilhelt deck and I've watched like 20.... I'm new to mtg! The mock playthrough at the end puts you way above anyone else on RU-vid! Please do another mock play through with this deck it was more than helpful!

Good deck outline. I have some suggestions from playing my deck (which was a carbon copy of yours). Replace endless horde enchantment with restic study. Endless horde is ether a win more or a sad card since it is add half rounded down, and once someone plays against this deck they will bounce or remove your zombies. Zombie lords - keep undead warlord as the only 4 cmc lord add zombie master and the new ub +1+0 lord drop all the other 4+ cmc lords. 4 -5 cmc is to slow for zombie lords. Hold feed the swarm for killing kindred discovery. That draw spell is the tits but it will deck you fast as hell. The new captain of the perished can be dropped. Pick up the 2 cmc siege zombie (tap 3 zombies to deal 1 damage). It is great for all the zombie tokens you will make. Field of the Dead and shrine of nix are great lands to add as well. Phyrexian altar and the 2 other altars are needed in this list. You only need to run 3 islands to cover the blue pips. Add high market and Phyrexian tower lands for Sac Fodder. You can remove the zombies that add key words to your zombie tokens and replace them with cover of darkness and eldrazi monument. This should leave you with about 4 slots open. You can add more zombies like zombie trailblazer or other synergetic cards. Phyrexian reclamation is just like lord of the Undead for recursion , but cost you 2 life.

This is going to come rather late, but there is a neat little combo that would work well in there. I'm not talking about any of the sweet new crimson vow additions, but one that is hiding in plain sight. Only one person in the comments that i saw recommended adding a Zombie Master, but it doesn't look like he was recommending it for the reason I am. Zombie Master + Urborg should be a given. All lands are now swamps really means ALL lands, including opponents. Suddenly, all your zombies can just attack directly? Sounds like fun to me.

Wow, what a awesome deck tek. I loved watching yourun it through it's paces. I kind of new, I get the basics, but I'm just now trying to understand the more complex interactions. My question is this...how does Mikaeus, The Unhallowed work as far as "undying" is concerned? With all the +1/+1 counters popping off, it seems like he wouldn't be able to bring anyone back. Please be kind if I completely misread the card lol. Thanks again and Cheers friend.

Cool build. I'm low-key kinda surprised it seems to be going under the radar but Wilhelt imo makes a much better aristocrats commander. With him out each zombie turns into two bodies for sacrificing. A bunch of zombies ping for damage when one dies, death pact to remove creatures, infinite loop with grave crawler, roof storms and a sac outlet for damage or mill with altar of dementia. Those amass zombies are amazing. An amass producer means you get two bodies to sacrifice off the creature itself and the zombie Army being turned into a decayed. Another spicy infinite loop is poppet factory, wilhelt and blasting station

Upgrading the pre-con with some of the key cards from this and swapping out the mill theme. Very cool deck!

Finally a list that I like, I will use it as a starting point to fix my list

Always love your deck thank fully more than half the cards your running are in the precon so it's easier to get the deck toghether

If adding a non zombie card doesn’t bother you species specialist is a great replacement for midnight reaper. It’s one more black man’s but it will draw off all zombies tokens included.

Best target for blast zone is your own kindred discovery. Kindred discovery is our best and deadliest card. It triggers of every zombie attack and etb, and if you are not prepared you will deck your self the first time you go off.

I see lot of potential dead cards that could be replaced with interaction like a mere counter spell it would do wonders for this deck, more than anything this deck relays too much on its own board, protection is needed and it's curve is a bit high for an aggro/sacrifice type. I appreciate you demonstrate a sample hand but that also shows how weak to removal or opponents interaction could be.

Great video and loved the playtest at the end. However, because you have no opponent and only 1 counterspell it's likely that Wilhelt will be dealt with before your engine gets going. May I suggest additional sac outlets to compensate? There is really no reason not to play the alters and carrion feeder. Gisa, stronghold assassin and attrition are huge in this deck also. I don't think you need as many lords so you could cut some of these. Additionally, graf harvest is a must. Also, sac payoffs are great in this deck. Bar Wilhelt, Diregraf Captain, Plague Belcher and champion of the perished you are not taking advantage of saccing creatures. Why not go full aristocrat and add grave Pact, dictate of erebos and Diregraf's friends I.e. blood artist, zulaport cutthroat etc? And finally, undying zombies are great. For instance, if you have Carrion Feeder and Butcher Ghoul out you can sac him twice, the 2 tokens triggered from wilhelt twice, and then the 2 decayed tokens twice. 6 triggers for zero mana and 1 of them nets you draw from wilhelt. With any sac payoff that is massive value :)

bought the precon while i build my Olivia Crimson Bride deck so i can play with my friends. Definitely felt the precon was very mixed in how it should be played. half zombie tribal, half mill. needed an upgrade for sure (or at least insight on one)

I play my Zombies with Damia. Green is a pretty good addition for every Zombie Edh.

I didn't see anyone mention this, but lord of the undead was Errata'd to be zombie wizard, and reads "OTHER zombies you control get +1/+1"

You can put scarab god and/or wilhelt in the deck also hehe

Lord of the Undead is either a Lord, that is not a zombie, and does not get its +1/+1 effect. Or it is a zombie, and says "other zombies" get +1/+1 on its newer 10th edition printing. So its always a 2/2 As always! Love the deck. Hope you do Kyler

Black market and pitiles plunderer seem pretty good for mana gain, which is an issue i often have late game with this deck.

How does the combo with Acererak the Archlich actually work? He says that you can only run through Tomb of Annihilation, so to speak. How do you get into the other dungeon? Did i miss something?

It kinda misses a Phyrexian Altar to go with that Gravecrawler. That makes Unlimited Tokens and death/ETB triggers

Hey Im new to magic, can you sacrifice more then 1 zombie during the end phase to draw more then 1 card, like if I sacrifice 3 can I draw 3?

Very generic deck to my taste. I rolled my eyes when I saw Skullclamp, but then I realised it is a good way to use those decayed tokens.

I'll say say it- Poppet Factory STINKS. I never flip it because it SHUTS DOWN YOUR OWN COMMANDER. Also, there's a half-dozen or more other ways to buff your zombies with Lords.

This is pretty bad. Lord of the Dead most certainly does not give himself +1/+1. You're running too many lords and not enough zombies.
