i've been playing kovaaks for around 6 yrs and have hit VT Celestial complete and usually peak T100 DPS hitscan on OW every season with most of my time spent playing reactive and smooth tracking scens. i think the biggest thing to take away from aim or practice in kovaaks is consistency. playing for 24 hrs a day once a week comparatively to practicing 1-2 hrs with persistent focus is going to greatly help you improve at a faster rate. your aim has smoothness and control issues for the most part. to fix this start with practicing relatively easy smoothness scenarios and slowly move towards harder controlled tracking scenarios-{things like controlsphere, air nuns and fuglaaxyz voltaic no blinks} focusing on tension is a good thing aswell. you NEVER want to be auto piloting, muscle memory itself within aim is a myth. aim is hand eye coordination added with "mouse control". for example, changing ur sensitivity will not "erode" or get rid of ur mechanics. i can aim the same practically at anything from 20 cm to 55 cm. locking ur mind into the idea of muscle memory will only work to hinder ur practice and improvement. another misconception is "arm aim" and "wrist aim" these are very big myths pushed by tac shooter players who do not know anything-{hopefully that does not come off offensively} aiming itself should incorporate ur entire arm this means fingers, wrist, forearm and shoulder even at crazy high cm per 360's like 10-17 i still use my a bit of every part of my arm. locking urself to only moving ur wrist or arm is only going to hinder you and not allow you to have finer mechanics. death gripping or tension as a whole is more so a hinder than anything else. aim should be smooth and refined. light tension is ok but it's more so a management thing. the smoother u are the better your aim is. even when speed target switching you should be smooth and gripping lightly enough to be able to accurately micro adjust instantly. grip the mouse as lightly as you would an egg almost. as for the thing u do with your arm, don't. have ur wrist and ur arm straight to allow for my flexibility within aim. kovaaks scenarios aren't usually made to mimic in game moments. for example, popcorn is mostly just used to practice ur XY smooth tracking. it's to train the entire movement to be accessible when aiming in general and to build better XY mouse control. for example, tracking a target on a hill or a character in overwatch that drops off of high ground and falls for a short second. it's just cranked to the extreme so more can be pulled out of it within practice.

You don't see the effects of aim training until you go to sleep and let the neurons in your brain rewire. You essentially just warmed up for 24 hours.

Fun fact: the healthier you are, the better you aim.

Muscle memory isn't real. Aiming is all about cognition. If you feel you are doing aiming on auto pilot you're not "improving" aim. You're just passively consuming a boring RU-vid video. You only want aim autopilot while you're in game. Because you are also thinking about other elements of the game (during moments where aim is not key factor). Change you your sensitivity between training sessions, but always use the same sensitivity in game. as for the chicken or the egg argument when it comes to aim "Stare at crosshair? or stare at target?" stare at target, staring at target will ground your aim and expose weaknesses in aim (eg mouse jitters making it hard to focus on target). Note on focus. For whatever reason it seems like most people can only focus for 2 hours maximum without breaks. Alternate between 2 hour intense sessions and relaxation. Final note, aim training is *almost like working out. You only see the gains after going to sleep and waking up. Goodluck mate. You'll be immortal aimer with gold game sense in no time. edit: Usually movement is more important than aim, good footwork but slow moving mouse will make you survivable with high accuracy (but low hit rate). Where as, good aim with bad footwork will give you low survivability because you will be easier to hit by enemies.

Misinformation a tiny bit. Muscle memory is real it has a scientific name that has been studied for decades called procedural memory. It’s just not something that’s obviously locked and set in stone that it can be a permanent negative thing

@@Peraliqmuscle memory in the way people in fps see it is a myth, you’re not practicing to hit a flick in the exact spot, you’re practicing the motions to be able to hit that flick accurately, which is why we can change senses and be fine

as someone that is grandmaster vt, valorant is the least aimbased game i have ever played. you could be vt astra+ and still be gold, would just play the game rather than aimtrain. still hit immo but valorant is 50% luck 40% gamesense 10% aim

First: why would you play 24hours in a row? Resting is as important as training. Second: your sens is insane Third: you should focus on your weakenesses, not autopiloting like a bot.

bro if you still think aim is muscle memory you are soooo behind
@Peraliq
@Peraliq Месяц назад
It is. A lot of you guys need to take a psychology course or something lol. It’s just there’s a misconception on what exactly muscle memory is “procedural memory”. When you actions of mechanisms your brain remembers the action long term, but it’s not very important overall when aim requires eye coordination skills the most
@Peraliq
@Peraliq Месяц назад
The aim community needs to stop saying procedural memory is a myth, literally do some research.. it’s just not the most important aspect to learning how to do a task that requires hand eye coordination the most
