Wow. I love that you came up with an idea for home networking specific information. This particular video is just superb for someone who is not working in networking or IT administration area… in a world filled with our privacy being controlled by big brothers, having a local network storage is a splendid way to stay off grid. Great stuff
I am trying to do this with wifi security cameras. I have one in my barn and I want to connect it and my router and my phone to that router so that I can monitor inside the barn (but I don't have internet)
This is an interesting question, I’ve wondered many times what would happen if we have a disaster or an emergency and the internet connections go down. Could you create a large neighborhood network and make calls within that network without a provider? Isn’t that what network connections were made for? This is important to ask because in todays climate, this very thing has happened and will happen again in the future.
so if i plug a router in and turn it on and then on my smartphone turn on the wifi and then turn on my wireless printer can i send a document to the printer from my thru the router to print it out?
Agree. When I was studying tv journalism we were told tv is pictures. It's the same with RU-vid. It's unfortunate as he really knows his stuff, but his approach could have been better.
So if i buy a wifi router but dont have internet could i still use my fire stick and playstation? Can't use those without wifi but i dont necessarily need internet, just wifi to be able to access my stuff
I'm disappointed that the presenter can't talk any fcuking faster. I was still able to pick words out of sentences. And thanks for not including any annoying diagrams or other graphics They just clutter up the screen.
