Of course music videos will be changed...and everything else in the process. It's a ripple effect and AI And Sora are the stones that have been dropped from a great height and impacted on the levels of human culture and perception. Cause is there...the effects though...now there's the thing...just sit back and watch it unfold...Dandy Warhols and Duran's "Invisible" videos are just the beginning...
Justin Would you be willing to say anything about the production process? Based on the 30 second video you posted about the making of Summer of Hate, the fact that there are 3 people with different roles credited at the end AND having watched some old videos about the New Carissa I assumed that the video is a combination of techniques and processes and not simply generative Ai. Which one is closer? A. It's all generative Ai B. It's a combination of licensed library footage, camera footage shot for the project, motion graphics and generative Ai plus some techniques you can't share. Thanks If answering this starts to kill the magic too soon just delete my comment 😊
Hey Richard. Summer of Hate incorporated some footage I filmed of the band into generative AI but the new one is entirely generative AI using a program called Runway ML. I will say it takes some talent when writing the prompts to get the results we did. The motion graphics were just two shots I wanted to put “new carissa” type on. As the New Carissa happened on the coast where I grew up. I am sensitive to the fact that an AI video can eliminate traditional music video crew roles. But since I’ve been making music videos in the 2000s - music video budgets have been like $500 so no one was really getting paid anyways and I have always made videos for fun. Using AI was simply an excuse to play in a new sandbox and I think the Dandies have a live action/film like video coming out next.
@@justinlowe Wow. That's way more detail than I was expecting. Thank you so much. I was totally wrong on my understanding of how this was made but happy to be corrected.
@@richardhall5489 and this took us a few weeks (not working everyday). We generated a ton of stuff that wasn’t useable or things that didn’t fit to get to this then Courtney and I found the story in editing.
