I have an AVERAGE acads and i am gonna write the CAT exam on this Sunday (28 nov, 2021) and i m already tensed and i saw this video. For me this video is extremely demotivating and now, i feel like I shouldn’t give CAT I felt sad

The best demotivational video I know people who had average acads but great profile overall who made into IIMs and many other top colleges instead of taking this words seriously do work more on improving your acads and work hard for cat score.

Gautam adani never did an MBA and now he is the richest person in Asia. And now so many MBAs are working under him. Ritesh agrawal also never did an MBA, now he is the CEO of oyo. So it doesn't mean that people who did so well in their 10th , 12th are dumb or will never do good in their professional career or cannot do mba. IAS officers also had so bad acads still they could crack upsc exams

Guys don't believe him there are many instances where average student has converted IIM Ahmedabad and 9/9/8 profile did'nt even got a call !! Prepare hard , nothing is impossible !!

Guys I too have an average Profile, (73-75-55), but I focus on improving my Profile further, I do courses, internship and trying to score 99.5+ percentile.

I've heard that xlri gives less weightage to acads...is it true? If I score well in XAT is there a chance to get a call??

See don’t listen to any one not even me I will say too but remember one thing 10/12th are past now we can’t do anything about that but what we can do is Ace in CAT you maybe a failure in your whole life but life do give chance to shine bright as sun this is your chance . I agree every one need consistency in academic and job but a guy with 9/9/9 it won’t be difficult for him to get 99%tile in CAT but when a average guy gets 99%tile and converts IIM(any) he just did impossible to possible. He is a legend from my perspective so don’t loose hope ,ace CAT crack the interview and be that legend.

A different question ..if possible.. someone please point out the answer...very good 10th marks then average scores there after till BTech...currently doing Government job for 18 months...what does government job experience do to your profile? Does it diminish the profile?? Or do companies consider the govt ctc while making offers (as it's very low in comparison to good pvt jobs)?? A clear answer will be very helpful. Thanks.

I have a similar story bad marks in 12th- 66%, got into MUJ, studied engineering for a year and dropped out, the next year prepared for exams and got into IHM Pusa the best HM institute in the country. Ankit is right when he says that you have to find where you fit in.

While the message was good but the way it was communicated was a bit absurd I for one have seen plenty of my friends with average acads getting into good colleges and doing better ! At the same side there are friends who've career aggregate 9/9/9 fir bhi service based IT company pe bethke code debug karrahe hein Also the timing of this video made it even worse 😅

Let me point out one main point why every average students are searching for interviews of average students who made it to the iim.... The reason is they are just searching for the example which having similar kind of profile and yet succeed ... So they subconsciously convinced first and then by that they can double or may be triple their preparation.

wc final,olympic games,jee main+advanced,upsc cse,ies,gate,NEET (3 hr exams only, a few of them consist of 2 papers making it 6 hr)all decide career....dnt get into the argument that cat is only a 2 hr exam n candidate shouldnt be judged on that basis......if its so why the above exams dnt see 10th,12th,grad marks?????simply a rule is there...we accept but no need to justify it!!

Exactly I reached to same conclusion. One day you woke up & say ki just because I did hardwork for some months extra I deserve a edge isnt how it works. Imagine two companies in stock market ABC Ltd & XYZ Ltd. ABC Ltd has given consistent growth & results. XYZ Ltd on other hands performs well in some quarters & then again dips. Who would investor put money in ? They are looking for traits like consistent hardwork, being best in the game & being strategic. Thats how it is. I myself have bad acads like 6//8/8 & I had to make myself understand that just because I performed well in one test doesnt mean that I am more derserving then somebody who put consistent effort. So at the end of the day you need to accept it that there are repurcusions for your past. Accept kr lo - peace ma rhoge. Also I didnt write for you guys but more for me. You can be ambitous but if you dont fight for your dreams then its not worth it.

My brother got 57% in intermediate and he is a corona batch btech student ...he passed btech while writing exams in home and copying..now he got campus placement in Wipro and tcs 🙌 Where as I got 96% in my inter and studying CA final ..my brother is 2yrs younger than me...so my point is every will settle in life...if you have not yet settled then this is not the ending

How you do something is how you do everything. Consistency is a trait that winners always have. Everyone else will make excuses. If it matters to you, you will burn your ass off to get there.

I'm not targeting iims. Im targeting top B schools like fms, spjain, nimis, tiss etc in this B school won't require 10th, 12th and grad and especially these collages only want CAT score thats it

Mujhe itna batao got 99 percentile in cat but academy 70 in class 10 , 55 in class 12 and 74 in graduation, i got call from iim khashipur but tell weather i will face problem in my placement or not

if average people dont get into IIMs then how my cousin brother with acad record of 8 7 7 GEM, had 3-4 certificates of NCC, debate competitions , olympiads, did courses like digital marketing, advanced excel etc. got into IIM bangalore and got a ctc of 23 lpa from ICICI bank ?🤔 Nor he did his engineering from IIT or NIT he was from a private clg but a renowned one.

All this is agreed. I think what many of us want is to hear someone's experience who had average acads but did very well in CAT alone and went to a decent college for MBA.

I think it not like that if you are from average acads but. You alhave done extremely good in cat around 97+ percentile you will easily convert baby iims or new iims or or get good private colleges which has good. Packages soo don't worry about acads and just focus on cat. Let iim reject you don't reject yourself

If your acads are not good get a good job experience and do executive MBA it's much easier and very fruitful.

I think that it’s a fair expectation. If you have to get into one of the premier universities in the country, you need to have a prolific academic background. I am not trying to blow my own trumpet..but for the sake of better comprehension, I got three offers from the top 30 universities in Europe..If my academics were poor- I would never have been able to get an offer to study at those prestigious places, let alone step inside of it.
