They can't. I'm not saying yes or no to some type of huge undocumented eel living in the loch (ehem), but I'm saying most don't realise that mainstream science is full of gatekeepers. Mainstream science is often played NOT to discover things. Do you trust your government? Well mainstream science is largely government funded and is intimately tied to the conventional education system which also has its gatekeepers ie I once asked a cambridge professor why the Barbary slave trade/ centuries long enslavement of Europeans by arabs is not taught in any education system...he replied "Oh...well, you see we're not allowed to teach that although yes that did happen"...You see? Academia is not so free spirited as to what they teach and show you and what they do not...Scientists have handlers.

A murray eel can't exist in sweet water, why do you show this ocean eel? as possibility if it's completely false. There are sweetwater eel, but they are completely different

Plesiosaurs are not dinosaurs, they are an ancient lineage of aquatic reptiles. Also, they, being reptiles, would do particularly badly in a cold ass deep lake like Loch Ness

Didn't a research group record a biological echo location signature about a decade ago? It'd be interesting if any of the unmatched DNA signatures were of some sort of known animal that uses sonar echoing for hunting and navigation. Although really only cetateans mainly use it and they would be obvious because they would have to break surface to breath regularly.

It's only the Loch Ness monster, if its IN Loch Ness. And ,does anyone really want science to solve the mystery? I don't. I would rather think that there is something unknown in the Loch,than them proving there isn't
