I stumbled upon this video and I am super impressed. Great comparison, great explanation, and super great information. When I started racing, less then 1 year ago, I had entry Thustmaster pedals and in first month bought new pedals. The pedals are load cell and make a HUGE difference. Sent this to a few friends who are just now trying to get into Sim racing. Thanks for explaining what I was unable to articulate. I would like to see you compare triples vs VR headset

I have the VRS pedals. Jumped from logitech G923 pedals to them. Took over 2 seconds off my laptimes in my first practice session using them 😂. Honestly they are class! They aren't expensive either tbh. Not when you compare them to other pedals of the same quality and performance. Must have pedals these if you care about being quick and consistent.

I went from G29 pedals to those fanatec pedals and it does feel better and i am able to be more precise on them compared to the G29 pedals. Had to upgrade my platform as the force needed to apply brake pressure was moving the rig under braking lol. Better feel, more consistent for sure although i never tried the g29 pedals with the cushion hack.

I have a Logitech G27 pedals + wheel combo (300€ as new). I've had them for probably ten years now. I've always driven with just that, never even tried anything fancier. I wanted to see what time I can do with the Dallara F3 around Brands. I had to buy the F3 since I didn't have it. I managed to do 1.17:53 after 16 laps. It's still not super fast - there's a video from Craig's Setup Shop where they do a 1.15:5. I am planning on upgrading to Fanatec or Moza very soon now that I upgraded my PC and monitor, though I am still missing a proper sim rig (it's on the list). It will be interesting to see what the upgrade does to my lap times and especially consistency, since that is the biggest problem I have right now.

Are you just starting off buying a wheel or are you relatively experienced? If you are starting off, they are plenty good enough for anything you might need to use them for, then when you get more and more hardcore, you can start upgrading. as for the quality of the logitech pedals, I have heard it is quite good, i mean obviously the base is plastic, but the pedals are metal, my friend has them, and he says they do what they are made for without any problems, hope i could help :D

The Logitech pedals are quite decent even for more advanced players, you can even achieve something "similar" to load cell if you setup deadzone properly, but there one BIG problem: those potentiometer are crap. If you want to play a lot, they will die very quick. They becoming unaccurate and start flickering more and more... Mine has worn after about 9 months of moderate gaming. I have replaced mine with linear position sensors, it was little bit tricky, but now it works much better.

My T-LCM pedals are EPIC. Been using them for 3 years. I win almost every race. So much consistency its insane. Only thing I did was swap the clutch and throttle spring. from factory the clutch spring is stiff and throttle is soft, when you swap them, its SO MUCH BETTER. Easy clutch use, and the throttle gives way more feeling of control with a bit stiffer spring. I LOVE THEM. No need for a fancy pedal set. I did buy some covers for the pedal faces to make them nicer on my socks!

@@ezpz4659 I went from T-LCMs to V3s mostly because of the angle of the pedals on the TLCMs. Although they can be slightly (very slightly) adjusted, the way the pedals raise and come out towards the user just didn't suit my rig. The csl LC pedals can be moded quite easily, elite V2 have no mods pretty much for throttle and clutch ulless spending lots of money on top and the clubsport V3 look amazing and adjustable out of the box but are time consuming to adjust the brakes. Very confusing choice. Thanks in advance

Not necessarily. As long the pedals are progressive within the sim, you can adapt your muscle memory to it and youre good to go. Expensive pedals are made for more realistic immersion but the progression of the pedals in the sim stays the same as with cheaper pedals
@Skidzo19
@Skidzo19 Год назад
The problem I had with logitech pedals is exactly that. They weren't progressive at all. Resting my foot on the pedal would cause up to 60% braking input, whilst the last 40% required much more. I went through a second set that was different again (though they were a bit better). I then bought a load cell set and the consistency made me "feel" the car so much better, and thus led to faster and more consistent driving.

@TheFrontyer

Wrong. As potentiometer breaks rely on position not force, its impossible to have any sort of decent muscle memory. With load cell you will get muscle memory as it relies on force. However it wont really make you faster, but more consistent.

The biggest difference I felt in pedals was from getting a load cell. People are saying it won't make you faster but more consistent but in my case I could never get trail braking down until I started using a loadcell. This led to faster laps on almost every track I've ran.

weeel yes it does, now everyone will say there are pro plays who play on g29 BUT, most of new players dont have clue what are they doing, in that case there are 2 "noobs" ,one have a g29 and the other have a DD wheel, now the guy with DD wheel dont know much but he instantly feel what the car is doing so he cant "correct" his misstakes, while the one with g29 like wheels have mostly only the visuals and feel just vibration that he dont know what are they represent, so DD wheel guy have the advantage...take it like this: 3 kids going to eat ice cream , the 1st one get a ice cubes with little sugar, 2nd one get the chocolate flavor, the 3 guy get the ice cream with 3 different flavors...but there is always a 4th guy who eat the banana split with all toppings whipped cream crispys and cherrys, now you can see they all "can" eat ice cream...so you "can" race with any gear...

0.9 per lap is a massive amount on a 1:19 lap, and that's not even the full picture. If his fastest lap on Logitech pedals was 0.9 slower than his fastest lap overall, that means his other 9 Logitech laps were even slower than that. This also doesn't account for changing grip due to environment or tire wear. Lots of people pay a coach to help them find less than 1 second of lap time.

@@valpodesideromontoya2097 no... i never said that... i said they're not springs... you obviously don't understand an incompressible fluid in a closed system... fluids are not elastic in nature... they continuously deform which is partially what makes a fluid a fluid. BECAUSE it's in a closed system... the enlosure (container of the fluid) forces the fluid to press back ONCE PRESSURE RELIEVES. PRESSURE...FUCKING HYDRAULICS... elasticity vs plasticity .. IT DOESNT PRESS BACK ON THE MUSCLES FATIGUING THEM FASTER. BECAUSE THEY'RE NOT SPRINGS

The VRS Pedals are not the best! - There are plenty of Pedal sets out there that are better and more expensive than these. These are only springs and loadcells. All the high-end stuff is Pneumatic and Hydraulic. But as far as a Loadcell and spring system is concerned - These are at the top for quality and feel.

lol this guy really has no clue what he is talking about!! Fanatec v3 aren’t $500 And vrs pedals aren’t the best pedals by far and aren’t the most expensive. Go find a job where you actually know what you’re talking about! Major fail here 😂

Im trying to justify the P1000 for my Simagic ecosytem but they arent going to make me faster than the CSL V2. Of which i dont have either, But i fail to see the value in spending $660 extra to feel ABS.

Another thing is enjoyment though After a lot of thought, it isnt all about going the fastest :-) Going from potentiometers to load cells + experience will make the biggest difference I’ve got active pedals now and I dont think i’m faster but it certainly makes me smile 🤣

@@TheCarDoc1 For me it is, trying to be the fastest i can be is the whole point of sim racing which is where my enjoyment comes from.
