A lie everybody recognizes as a lie has to be somewhat psychologically freeing. Especially when humor is involved. It's its own kind of truth. "Sure, I'm a mauve, thirty-armed chinchilla with an MBA in toxic flatulence" and "I was not hurt when you forgot our daughter's birthday" are different, stakes-wise.

When you’re a candidate for the C.I.A.... you probably go thru about 50-100 hours of being taught how to lie and to easily pass a polygraph. It’s just controlling your heartbeat and when you do it enough, it doesn’t matter what you say, true or false..... it’s just about the secrets of being calm/temporarily believing what you’re saying and just basic breathing control. They have it down to a science.

idk why people would think that Julia didn't want to do the Hot Ones interview. In some of her interviews (not this one) for Downhill, she obviously sounded under the weather to me (and that was before Will mentioned it on Hot Ones). Will also also wearing a different shirt here so it was most likely shot on different days.

As for the Hot Ones interview being without Julia, give her a break! You don't know when both of these were actually filmed. This could be a lot later or a lot earlier than Hot Ones. But it is suspicious... Also I feel like Will could get away with murder since the machine hardly moved at all even with awkward questions. But also hats off to him for being that good of a comedian.
