I'm pretty rusty... First firework demo I am doing since quite a while, and I have to say, I am really enjoying coming back to doing fireworks legally. As some of you may know, it's hard to make adjustments, but I am getting there. Stay excited for the 4th everyone, and hopefully you all enjoy my comeback!
I commented this years ago, but the newer crackling balls are a solid mass compared to the old crackling balls that were just stars from shells packed into a small red envelope and packed into the green shell. If you can find older crackling balls and compare them to the new ones you’ll actually see that the old powder is still significantly more powerful than the new ones. I popped 15 year old crackling balls the other day and they pack a punch compared to the new ones.
There are still a few of the good quality crackling balls out there if you know where to look. Hold the bag tight and shake the bag and listen. The newer crackling balls have a clicking sound when you shake them as the single charge is shaking around within the ball. When you shake the real "crackering" balls it sounds like a bunch of Pop Rocks or Nerds candy
They will work, although it depends a lot on how they where stored, I have had fireworks that where terrible to light after the fuses got wet, humid or bent. Another thing to watch out for with flashpowder fireworks is leakage of flashpowder on the fuse, I have had this numerous times with some BSC one ounce trueno's, they leaked on the Visco fuse, making it burn like tape match, and i nearly lost a few fingers because of it.

Since when do ye get firecrackers in Scotland? Lol am 31 and never seen a firecracker in ma life.. Just rockets, cakes, roman candles, fountains and stuff.. Never an actual firecracker like these
Firecrackers work pretty well even after years if you kept them in a cool and dry area. I have some 3 years old 3 bursts short fuse firecrackers from Corsair and Volt that I kept in a box under my bed. They are still useable except some only have 2 bursts instead of 3 but they're still pretty good , the fuse burns very well too.
We have a giant box filled with different types of fireworks that are 13 years old. I light them occasionally but they all lit and worked on the 4th. Even a flare in that box worked.
Sometimes older is better few years back I got a case of freshly made bottle rockets they would not work at all every gross was defective few years later they work great
I don’t even need to watch this video to answer you guys yes they will still work. As long as they’re put in a dry safe place they will always work. I had fireworks from 4 years ago and I used them and they work.
Fireworks last a long time from what I've seen. My uncle had some m90s chilling in his shed. They must've been at least 5 years old and they worked fine
Great video once again brotha. Fireworks can last forever if you store them good. As long as the chemistry of the firework is there, it will still perform the same pretty much, same concept as old ammo from the 60's or 30's. I'm glad you are back!
2 years is nothing for fireworks when stored properly. Even 10 years is fine. Some fireworks sit on the store shelf for years before you even buy them! Thanks for the vid!
one recommendation i have for the firecracker packs if you want more chaos don’t like a single cracker just light the box almost all of them will light and it’s more unpredictable then the strips of crackers
Fireworks hit their peak at 2 years as far as powder curing and settling is concerned. Most fireworks work fine even at 30 years old. Some cones may fall apart during performance at 30 years old. Usually the fuses light slower if you keep them in a humid environment over the years
Disco flash are really fun my past stashes I’ve gotten like 10-20 boxes, sometimes I’ll pile those little firecrackers ontop of one and then light the strobe and the flame from thst ignites the rest
oh yeah old fireworks can last quite a while if they're stored well, there's actually some fireworks stores on reservations that sell a bunch of vintage stuff, Cody B Pyrotechnics did one video where he was walking through a store like that and I was drooling over all of the old stuff they had there. In your last video you mentioned going to the reservation to shoot off stuff, so if they've got a fireworks store definitely ask the people working there if they have any vintage stuff. Definitely light off the original Jumping Jacks or Whistling Jacks from the 80s if you can get your hands on them.

Yes and no I have fireworks from like 3 years ago and I let them off and they worked but those were also black cats though too if that changes anything
Cool firecrackers, loud! I loved the Black cat brand firecracker of years ago where you'd buy either by a brick or single package. Illegal back then and had to get those from out of city limits or private sellers. M-80's we're rare then (1970's) but a loud fire cracker can be made from the whistling - screeming me mes , and louder than a .38 round firing off
I still have piccalo petes from the mid 80s and they work just fine.. they whisle 2x longer than the current ones and back then they were like 20 cents apiece

Bring a bucket of water or something if your lighting fireworks. Whether your a professional or not. If your a professional. You should always bring a bucket of water with you. I love your videos and you should light them at night. Would be interesting to watch.
bro when i saw you upload for thew first tim in a year i was so freaking exited and now that you just uploaded a firework video im mso exited that your back on track
i have some 40 year old bottle rockets in maine i think i’m going their in july so if you want i can try and send you a few since they would be classified as antique i used a few last year and they have a very big difference compared to modern ones it packs the punch of what looks like a m80 problem is around 1 in 4 are usually duds maybe we could do a firework trade or something i also have a few 60 year old cherry bombs that still work but i would probably give one depending on if it’s legal in your state.
