Fallon’s format insists on an audience to succeed. Seth’s remote shows and shows without an audience were some of the most surreal and remarkably entertaining bits of late night television I’ve seen in a very long time.

Seth Killed this interview. Even though I no longer subscribe to the idea of usurpation. A Meyers Tonight Show/ Amber Ruffin Late Night is still my fantasy. But eventually there has to be room made for Colin Jost and his rising star. 'Cause let's face it. Network lines of succession are still Salic with Joan Rivers being the only exception, but that took her having to defect, and her line died out with the retirement of Arsenio Hall, and her titles claimed by Letterman.
