(G)I-DLE's rise to fame makes me emotional, to see that there were groups who had to rise from the bottom,start from scratch go through actual struggles to be who they are today. I wish them all the success now and in the future :)
Soyeon hold the power. I'm not afraid of the G Idle future, they got the name with their skills. Cibe should be afraid. Soyeon can ask to be the CEO of Cube or make her own label, many will be more than happy to invest on her. In 10 years she will be considered the female JYP.
I agree, I’ve noticed she started appearing more on group tv shows. Where they compete to join the group. I think she is trying to gain the skills and ability’s to teach and learn how to form a group. If soyeon makes her own sub label or her own label . I can see her producing a new group while managing her own. She is so creative and she is a master mind. I can see soyeon being a leading company if she plays her cards right.
Cube needs (G)-Idle but (G)-Idle doesnt need Cube. They can rename themselves as whatever and their popularity will remain the same or soar with or without Cube. Also even if they leave Cube, their sound won’t change. Since Soyeon did everything music wise anyways. Other groups leaving their companies suffer from sound changes, but (G)i-dle don’t have to worry about that.
It's clearly visible that Gidle have always waited to leave Cube. They can work independently anw, as long as they still have Soyeon to produce their music
What's the point of having a company if soyeon and the other members have to do everything?? It was shocking to hear that the members had to pay half of the budget for the Super lady MV . Isn't that company's job? I don't think I-dle should have the need to stay in the compnay if they're going to take profit from the work idle do and not even do bare minimum to handle the group. Soyeon along with other members are fully capable to run by themselves and I'll tell you that they'll do it 1000X better then the infamous company we don't talk about.

If anything, the group will probably stay together if they leave cube but they will probably have to go by I-dle since cube will be petty with holding on to the (G)-idle trademark.

At the end of 2023, they also had to prepare for their full album “2” and comeback. That album was released on January 29, 2024. Let face it. Like another commenter said, Cube needs Idle more than Idle needs Cube. Soyeon is effectively CEO of the group and wouldn't have much trouble morphing them to an independent group. You know she's been carefully watching people like IU and the Pinks form and run their own agencies so it would be very out of character for our workaholic wonder not to have Idle, Inc. as a backup plan that would also return Soojin to the group. And Cube certainly doesn't seem to be helping matters. You would think after watching the BP/YG disaster, they would be throwing everything they could at Soyeon and the members to keep them, but that doesn't seem to be the case. At this point, I have to wonder what the hell is going on with these agencies? It has to be not only money but ego since any rational businesman would make retaining their top earners their priority. I'd argue that our Tiny Terror is now the dominate figure in Kpop. Making Idle and Soyeon cough up their own cash to promote themselves? It's just insane by any measure. Cube has a history of mistreating their artists, which is why their artists rarely renew their contracts. (G)i-Dle would be better off signing with another company. Rumor is MORE VISION, TheBlackLabel, and P Nation have all indicated they are all willing to negotiate/sign (G)i-Dle, if they leave Cube.

no way. cube obviously think they're better than their artist. they literally kick hyuna and dawn so easily. idgi. they have good asset. CLC have one of the best stage presence on 3rd gen. pentagon literally a well rounded group who can do it all. BTOB bruh. their rap, and vocal. even the recent one 'lightsum' they have 4th gen best main dancer in there, back when the girl just 13 years old, that girl is already better than most of 4th gen main dancer. but yea MOST didn't know
G-idle caught my attention from when Hann released, i thought that time they would definitely last long and become big and i was right. I always look forward to their comebacks even tho i am not a stan just a casual fan. I really hope they don’t disband and continue for a long time.
After I watched Kingdom, I was stunned how good BTOB was and fell in love with their music. But I’m a longtime Kpop fan and they should have been on my radar long ago. This just shows how awful they were mismanaged and promoted. I’m glad they left and I hope I-Dle does too.
I think the sub-label would be a great idea but honestly. They’d be fine if Soyeon made her own company and brought the members with her. I can imagine she’d be able to handle maintaining their rights because she’s easily one of the savviest business-minded idols I know of.
They really do need their own label because they already do 99% of the work on their own from day 1 and it hasn't changed since. I honestly wouldn't even want another big name company to pick them up unless they are going to give them the full package of fair pay, creative freedom, proper promotion and all the other compensations that they have rightfully earned. I just don't trust another label to do that to be honest.
That would be awesome. However, even if (G)-idle managed to open their own sub label or company, they might not able to bring Soojin back. It seemed that soloist Soojin was blacklisted in Korea. She can't even promote in Korea !
They are very smart women, what ever Soyeon & girls decide I am with them. First of all I wish them good and long rest, and after all they deserve to have a life outside the show business too. For sure we are going to get lots of good music from them, as a group or as a individuals in the future. The stars are born .
(G)I-dle is one of the best groups out there. If they disband, why should I continue to support anyone. I am getting tired of these break-ups. It's crazy knowing the wasted potentials and skills of the groups in CUBE other than (g)I-DLE, and to think we wouldn't have even gotten them as a group if they did not put the effort themselves. On top of that they also had a new boy group in 2023!?! Like I heard absolutely nothing about them and didn't even know that they even debuted in the first place.
In Season B Season with Rain he asked Soyeon if she wished to establish her own label and produce idols and when soyeon replied with a yes he asked her how much investment it would take and was ready to support her financially . Soyeon totally has the potential to do so I-dle as a group are very much talented and can be much more famous if they left cube . I don't think they need cube when they have Soyeon
Based on I-DLE's track record, I think Soyeon and the members can name their price. Don't be surprised to see a new company that leases studio time from CUBE and hires them to handle the mundane, day to day crap.
I also feel bad for both groups. Especially CLC. The Sum of Light is in Twilight, while international superstar potential CLC talents have been wasted.

The best thing that Gi dle can do is leave the company together and start their own independent agency. Like the video said, they are basically funding everything themselves. They were most likely had to promote under another name because cube Q entertainment will be petty by not giving them the rights to the name.
The girls should be able to retain the name of G-idle if the precedent of G-friend is to be followed. The current thinking is that the courts look to the name as an extension of the members and not as a property of the company after the completion of the 7 year contract.
We all felt heartbroken and helpless once Cube disbanded CLC, but now we can see that it was more of a blessing because we don't have to see the girls to suffer 😢
CLC girls' paths are still not flowery. Though CLC Elkie recently won the most popular participant in a survival show in Taiwan, CLC Sorn being a TikToker/ singer, CLC Seungyeon being a dancer/instructor and CLC Yeeun in EL7Z UP. CLC Yujin's Kepler is going to be disbanded, and both CLC ( Seunghee and Eunbin ) are still in Cube. Those 3 members' future beyond 2024 are still not clear.
Cube is great at finding these artists but they don't know how to keep them. They have horrible management. I'm still pissed on how they treated CLC and Soojin. My girls should really just build or find another company to work with if Cube doesn't get their shit together and give them the support they need.
if they do go their own way I would love for them to still be a group and make music their voices are just so unique and their music always had a positive message behind it while being very catchy If not then we just have to wish them the best.

Somehow i think Soyeon might go solo and not even in kpop. I feel like she's so tired of all this sh*t idols have to experience. She's a creator, that's for sure. And she's great as an idol. But i feel like she might not like all this idol sh*t. She always seemed to me more like a producer/songwriter. I would be glad if she'll take idle with her and will continue guiding Idle as the same kpop group. But i would not mind if she'll choose something else. It's just... It's like she outgrown being an idol. Anyways. I CAN'T WAIT for their contracts with Cube to end. Each and every one of the girls are so mature in terms of being an entertainer, each of them has something she's good in and popular for. There's no one who'll be lost and forgotten if they'll disband and it such a relieve for me as for a fan. They will be successful no matter what

Lightsum definitely need a dark or girlcrush concept. With a hard hitting song because They are not making a mark at all with the songs that are being given to them.
I hope that Soyeon buys the trademark from CUBE. She creates her own label put her group in there so they have more freedom than what they have over at CUBE. If they do get their own label, does that mean their former member Soojin can rejoin the group (ever since CUBE forced her out, you can tell in Soyeons compositions of the songs, theirs always a Hint of Soojin in the music and in the Music Videos (aka NXDE and Revenge)

I have to give Soyeon a lot of prop on doing everything and including pirated software just to make the music. If I’m a medium or big company with a good reputation I’m jumping at the chance to get Idle on my roster, like fr if I’m like PNation or The L1ve I would be dialing Soyeons phone 24/7 to get her and Idle to come to my label with all the financial backing and creative liberty they desire Everyone knows Idle can succeed in any type of environment bc they self produce and are a bunch of hard working woman ready to take over I do think that given the chance Soyeon would make her own label with Yuqi and Minnie either backing her and being second in command or opening their own labels too
Most of this video is accurate and well researched, but regarding Super Lady - CUBE did not force the girls to put up half the cost, IDLE girls came up with the concept, asked for the high budget to build the set and hire the dancers, and the girls negotiated a 50/50 deal with their label. This is a fair negotiation initiated and carried out by IDLE and not the fault of the company.
G-Idle should leave Cube since they’re basically managing themselves with no help from the company and having to pay their own bills for all their activities. Hopefully they can go to a company that would better manage them and help them financially. They deserve better. Soyeon is like the female G dragon for cube she writes songs, produces, manages the members, performs but she doesn’t get any respect. God forbid a woman can do something else besides dance and look pretty. I admire her and I hope she gets the respect she deserves.
I'd be surprised if any of the (G)-IDLE members want to renew their contracts. The amount of abuse (Not physical) that the company does to their groups is crazy. If (G)-idle got mistreated by Cube, then CLC had it worse as it got mismanaged and mistreated by Cube with its flip flop of music concepts, withholding CLC Elkie acting fees for 2 years ! Denied CLC to go to an invitational event in USA and famously sold off CLC comeback song. Compared to CLC, (G)-idle had it easy. Then again, (G)-idle have Soyeon.
The intelligent thing for Cube to do, in fact the only move that will see them surviving is to offer G-Idle a substantial equity stake in the company and a degree of control. But they are a slimy K-pop management company. So we know they’re never gonna do that.

So where did the decent budget for Soojin's debut which was a risky bussiness move to begin with, come from? I am willing to bet (G)I-DLE are the investors of BRD Communications and the CEO is a bussiness partner Soyeon made when she looked into starting her own company.
