My theory: As we know sukuna was a jujutsu sorcerer before being a curse, so what i think is that after being killed as a sorcerer he must also have been given two choices of either going to south/north....which will decide if he want to accept his fate as a dead or want to revive as a curse spirit... Which we say in chp 236 (not like this but something about being yourself or to be newer slef which i think indicates to either accept the fate/be a curse spirit. So similarly gojo will also be revived but as a curse spirit....by which he will defeat sukuna but what i think is kenjaku will be the main villian for our MC *yuji itadori* , so after being curse gojo will survive but after the fight against sukuna after being revived he will be weaker.... So i think thats how the story will go.

You forgot to mention one thing that , if jujutsu sorcerer dies without any curse tool then it will become a curse spirit . So maybe GOJO can return as a cursed spirit . And then he will be same like sukuna

Pin This Chapter 228 is actually the most important point in this fight. Sukuna had the option to destroy unlimited void from inside. He could've avoided the 3 min fight this way and would never get hit with unlimited void. But at the same time, it's guaranteed that gojo would always get a brain damage after 5 continuous domain expansions. So after domain clashes, gojo would be facing a sukuna who can use domain, while he wouldn't be able to. Gojo's RCT output would also be dropping rapidly. The reason sukuna didn't go for it is probably because staying inside unlimited void for a longer period of time was beneficial for the adaptation process. Gojo and sukuna confirmed that adaptation is gradual. If you read chapter 229, you can see that gojo is actively using limitless to thrash around sukuna inside the domain. It means sukuna even stopped using domain amplification inside domain. This is probably why gojo mentioned he's unsure he could beat sukuna even if he didn't have ten shadows.

You got your information wrong especially sounds like early leak translation information. Go read the full released translation. Gojo did not smile. The narrator announced his death, its official Gojo was not waving farewell, that was the same gesture he used to shout at Yaga At the end of the afterlife Gojo says he hopes it isnt a dream afterall. He does not want to go back to the living and the past, South. He has chosen North enlightenment and rebirth to move on and look to the future. This can be refered to Nanamin North, seeing Yuji to the future he chose and South being stuck in the past to what he was going to choose. Both Nanamin and Gojo chose North, death. Again please read the manga now

And once again read the chapter, in the beginning Gojo says this better be a ridiculous dream to Geto, by the end of the afterlife panels he says I hope this isnt a dream. He had chosen to stay with with his friends, South. There is nothing for him to go back to anyway. The only person he really cared about was Geto. He did not mentioned his studnets or saving Megumi, he only brought up telling Megumi about Toji but brushed it of by saying Shoko will take care of it.

Bhai bhot irony hai Lotus Wale scence me ( for eg as we all know that red water Lilly is symbolised as death and these Lotus do the opposite)but during we all know that due to reversed cursed technique he messed up with his own brain so it's like almost impossible for gojo to return .... But then also there is little hope that gege may revive gojo but without power as he may have used a lot of his cursed energy. Gege actually easily showed us that currently the 19 finger sukuna equals gojo (20 fingers sukuna would clap anyone rn) Nvm but gojo said sukuna didn't go all out which is true He didn't go all out Because even sukuna knew he can't kill gojo without knowing how to deal will his infinity So why would he go all out Next comes gojo saying that even without ten shadows sukuna might have defeated gojo (Gojo said this because he thought he defeated mahoraga previously and then he got killed that means sukuna killed him by all by himself so he didn't know what he told after he died) But that isn't the reality cause gojo is telling that in afterlife and doesn't know what explanation did sukuna give Later sukuna clearly told that he cant perform the same thing that mahoraga did in his first adaption And needed more adaptions that he could copy to kill gojo Which means even if (refer to the first para i wrote) sukuna went all out without mahoraga he wouldn't be able to defeat gojo cause he cant do anything while the infinity is still there So we can easily say gege showed us that 19 finger sukuna = gojo currently and if sukuna went all out without mahoraga against gojo the fight would end in draw

Guys I have one more theory which can bring back gojo Sukuna last finger : what if gono already eaten or hide the last finger of sukuna in his sleeve. Gojo is waiting for this right movement so, that he can beat sukuna from his own weapon or weaponry. The last finger can give gojo healing ability to heal or even if sukuna try to control gojo. Gojo body already strong enough (too late for sukuna to realise or control it). It's like Trump card for gojo.just like sukuna use jogo technique as a black box. Gojo uses sukuna last finger as Trump card.

Sukuna was always powerful and the strongest sorcerer in history....Sukuna never uses his true form of four handed one he uses megumi body to beat gojo in order to make him realise that how weak he his infront of him ... Moreover sukuna uses Mohoraga not for killing gojo but to only analyse and get a blueprint to how to adapt a attack in his own technique...this shows that Knowledge of jujutsu that sukuna hold , nonone else can hold ...In manga it was also stated that in order to defeat sukuna one has to go farther than jujutsu sorcerer than only one can defeat him...Yes Gojo was honoured one but infront of Sukuna no one is instead of him as he already stated that from the above and earth I am the honoured one ...when he was alive 1000 years ago
