you have to watch out for power of attorney forms, you could accidently be giving them the means to clean out your bank account and take ownership of anything and every thing you own, MAKE sure any power of attorney forms are clearly stated what there allowed to do

As a detailer, If I had the time, me and my coworker (he does PDR) would drive over to you from ATL with all the detailing and recon equipment and we would've gotten that Kia right. I work for an automotive reconditioning company for dealerships. 130k (something) mile Kia Forte with good bones and a good runner is worth reconditioning.

I purchased a Benz through copart and the driver misplaced my title. The copart rep said for $64 could get me a duplicate. Thanx for inspiring me to buy through copart. The 2000 E320 3.2 liter 6 cylinder is a dream car.

Randy when you get the title. Check the Vin via either NTSB or Kia. That car year is one that should qualify for engine replacement as miles is under 151 KM.

Interesting Legal point of view regarding Title. Wonder why the Auction Company would pay the previous Owner before completing the Ownership Transfer process! 🙂

I can't understand why people don't give a full measure of work especially when they have an excellent customer. Even more so when the customer has a lot of work for them. I'm surprised the auction isn't able to get the title from the cars previous owner legally. I guess it slipped past everyone given the amount of cars they handle but to dust you off like they never had anything to do with it doesn't make sense. It isn't like they never heard of you. Hello again Neighbor! I just went through the court ordered title process in Okmulgee County in order to get the title for my 1988 Mercedes. Thankfully, my cousin is an attorney and did it for me! I’m selling the 1988 560SL tomorrow morning to peddle.

Hey Randy! One of the suggestions I was going to make was one you mentioned which is a title bond. I recently had to do it in the state of Georgia and it was fairly easy. I know different states have different processes. I had to contact a surety bond agency here, get a t22b which involves the police coming out and running the plates to ensure the vehicle wasn't stolen. The bond agency did a National vehicle history report to put with. it and to ensure it didn't have liens. I took what I had as proof of ownership, along with the bill of sale, and was able to get it done. it was 200.00 extra but it was worth it. Best of luck with the situation.

I had a similar issue years ago; bought a car, the man claimed to have the title, but could not locate it. After waiting 3 months, not able to tag the car, get it insured, or get any use of the car, I had to contact the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles, then a bank. The bank had the title, for the man who I bought it from had used it as a lien for a loan; ultimately, the bank released the title to me and the man had to pay the lien on it. (had to use his profit from selling me the car) I hope a resolution comes soon and a title finally comes. It is a great looking car (well after it is detailed properly) and definitely a gas saver. I think it will bring a good profit once you can flip it. Good luck my friend!

Randy, if you haven't gotten a letter, you should get the immobilizer update on the Forte done. We got the update done on our 2016 Elantra. Takes about an hour. Make an appointment with your local dealer.

Oklahoma is one of the hardest places for title issues, my wife is a title clerk 32 years

Randy, check the lien sale law in your state. Normally anybody that had legal possession of the vehicle can sign a work order for repairs. It doesn't have to be the registered or legal owner of the vehicle. Also in this case since there is nobody to contest the lien sale, any signature would do.

If you can get the title this is the car you should give your daughter, it's cheap, reliable and pretty safe. Plus you're not too much into it so this would be a great option

It's sad that the auctioner didn't get the title from the owner after he or she got paid.

I get the frustration with this car. But sometimes you run into road blocks with ownership papers of cars like this. It goes with the turf. And sometimes (actually more than sometimes.) you don’t get the quality or workmanship expected from the product or service. That also goes with the turf.

If you purchased this vehicle “TA” blue light in some Dealer auctions you can return to auction after allowed time expires from seller not providing title.

In the uk where i live all you need is a log book and if you don't get one with the car you apply for one for £25 from dvla. None of this title crap you have Randy.

People love to make a quick exit and have some where else to go. I walk the vehicle and point out what they missed, and then they get paid. All good.

One question. When you take your cars to. copart or a. A auto or whatever it's called. Don't you have to give them a sign title before they sell it.?

I've heard you say in previous videos that you've driven the Kia on errands at times an that it drives like a dream, etc. With the exception of the interior, the wheels are gonna have road dirt and a little brake dust on them. Especially since I know you have dirt roads around the area you live. Just saying! Love your content tho!!

One again, over in Canada vehicles do not have car titles, the insurance office does all the leg work and and let you know if anything is a miss with a vehicle, avoiding such things...

Somebody, meaning Copart 🤔 It's a catch 22. If you take it to a state level, MAY effect your relationship with them and future content 😒

Hey Randy it sounds like things are different in Oklahoma but in Nebraska I've gone through this process before. I purchased a car in Colorado and I personally lost the title before I had it transferred over and I couldn't get ahold of the previous owner so I had to go through the bonded title process and all I had to do was fill out the proper paperwork with the DMV and then the original owner was by mail. The owner has 30 days to comply or to respond. Once that process is completed in the sheriff has to come out and inspect the car. Once that's completed I had to go to my insurance company and purchase $100 Bond for the bonded title. All that information got sent to the Nebraska DMV and then they sent me a title for the car. It did take about two months. But even if the judge in your state has to sign off on it and he understands that you purchased the car and the insurance auction lost the title I don't see how he wouldn't sign that?

You don’t need a bonded title it’s more problems than it’s worth. Please try. Involuntary transfer of title you will receive it with no problem every state offers this process

Randy, you need to.keep the 40s Chevy. I had to do something similar with a side-by-side I had a few years back, it came with no ownership, basically I pay the lawyer $100 they dropped up some paperwork, I signed it brought it to ServiceOntario which is basically the tag office and I got my ownership. You do get your video revenue, but that’s besides the point. I know your ex-wife plans on putting your daughter on a scooter, but whats if you were to drive this car to her, once you get the paperwork straightened out and give it to her??

Not the detailer fault, it is the foam, get it wet and it will leave water marks. Clean it with the can carpet cleaner and a dry towel. It will go away

Randy I would give those guys a second chance or say what company did it. And the shitty thing is that's a cool little car that you could make 4000 bucks on and they fuck with you with the title i'd be so aggravated I'm with you on a 100% It's the principle of the matter.

Seller had a contract with the auction to provide car, keys, and title. A demand letter from auction legal team for the title or POA might get their attention! It is at lest worth a try, with a threat of legal action!
