I work for a different game studio but contacting the BBB or speaking with Legal Counsel would be the best option to speak with the proper people. Not with these low level support agents. We have made exceptions in certain circumstances.

Not gonna lie Epic’s support lowkey sucks like when I made my epic account I mistyped my email and when I try to change it they say they can’t confirm I own the account it’s so frustrating

at this point, it wouldn't even matter if that old account got unbanned. you were collecting everything that got released on that account and that's impossible now.

It's ridiculous how they said in their words, You can MERGE accounts for a limited time and you wouldn't get banned for it. Until they did a 180 turn saying to you, "This is a violation against ToS because you merged an account that wasn't yours."

I understand the pain of losing an account with OG items on it. I lost my old account back at the end of chapter 2 due to some complications with the PSN linking. By the grace of God I managed to get it back a couple weeks ago but that means I lost my other account with a bunch of jam tracks and passes from C3 to C5.

The best way is to maybe get to talk in person to Tim Sweeney at a Fortnite irl competition and have him personally call his tech people to unban you immediately. It worked for Twitch guys that talked to the CEO in person at a Twitch event

The ban was undeserved only because they let you keep spending money for years before they decided you broke TOS. If they banned you immediately after merging the accounts then they would be in the right.

Everyone is saying that's it's his fault it's not it's epics fault. He merged the account when epic let people do that and when they realised the mistake of people getting og stuff then they stopped it. Italk did it when it was avaliable not when they stopped it that is epics own fault.

I'm sorry you got banned. The same thing happened to my BF. Except he merged with his brother's account, with his permission. My BF's account had the OG styles and he had played since virtually game launch, October 2017. He had pink ghoul, purple skull. His account was permanently banned. TOS was violated. It is what it is. If you get your account back, imagine how many people would expect to get theirs back as well. It sucks, but you knew the consequences just as my BF did. Just try to move on and enjoy the game.

In my opinion if they let you merge two accounts regardless of who owned the account, it's less your fault and more theirs. I get it's in the fine print, but if the game/site let you do it no issue and it went undetected for a time until YOU asked for assistance on another matter, not to mention the massive monetary investment in the account. It technically would be special treatment, but at that point with that much money it's almost to be expected. What irks me is their huge stink about selling accounts. The whole game is set up around FOMO, so naturally people who lost out on certain cosmetics are going to still going to want them. With FOMO comes other means to get what you wanted, that includes buying someone else's account. This is incredibly shady and has a high likelihood of being a scam, but it's the only option besides hoping Epic changes their mind about the exclusivity. Things are better with the end of BP exclusivity, but we still have stuff that was given out in events that may never come back.

I had the exact thing happen to me!! I was asking for a FNCS loading screen as they didn’t give me it after I earned it. Back in season 4 I merged one of my accounts with my main as I didn’t use it and it had some skins on it that I didn’t have, then I asked for the loading screen they disabled my account and I’ve been trying to get it back as it has so many rare stuff like even more rarer then I Talks account like I had galaxy indigo Kuno dark vortex purple skull trooper and so much more and all of that money and everything is just disabled and can’t use it no more.. sometimes life sucks but you gotta spill the beans and just go with it as nothing can be perfect

If fortnite added new and safer way for account cosmetic transfer , which I believe I found a solution for you could get it possibly back

Yea i once had my account stolen back in chapter one season X and it took month for epic support to get it back. Like I missed the entire season and couldn’t get any of the edit styles for any of the skins which was devastating. I literally was so disappointed I sold my Xbox and gave up on gaming for a few months lol. I know it’s extreme (there was other things that were happening with family where that was another reason why I sold it) but nonetheless I was so angry due to them constantly getting a new person and asking me the same question over and over and it went nowhere. Until one guy was smart enough to fix the issue.

I think they dont hate you or have any ill will toward you. Its just they have a standard in their terms and if they made an exception, it would open pandora's box with everybody else asking for them to do the same to their accounts. I dont think they want to open the box.

If epic even on unbanned @Italk original account. In which I understand why epic did what he did. Then epic has every right to unbanned every other player that has tried to exploit their accounts to make it more. So it wouldn't be fair for the players that didn't try this tactic. You know you did wrong when you did this. So why would epic decide to even give you your old account. You know what you did was wrong and you still did it anyway.

If they do unban you they should let you combine the accounts really like you spent thousands on the first one and then had to make a new account and don’t have access to the og stuff

I actually had something similar happen to me about 6 months now where I played fortnite back in the day and had every BP up until Chatper 5 season 2. Then my Microsoft account was banned for an action that I shouldn't have done. "Its On me" So I had to start over as well. I'm in the same boat ad you now. Best luck to both of us huh.

I know this isn’t anything serious compared to yours but I had a issue one time I had a controller connected to my pc and fortnite minimized and I was playing another game i thought I had closed it. It wasn’t and i ended up clicking through the item shop and spending 13k ish vbucks without knowing there was nothing they can do, Refund to tickets were not given every year at the time and already used mine. The best they can do was tell me the cosmetics i bought were pretty cool and tried to assure me it wasn’t a waste and no refund was available. I have only used one of those items to this day.

Honestly, I would really wish for your to get your Fortnite account to be un banned only because it’s just a video game and you didn’t do anything illegal by hacking or cheating. It was just cosmetic items which give you no advantage in the game so I wish epic games would just be lenient and let you have your account back, considering the fact that you still spend money on this game. That part of the TOS was also only to prevent from buying accounts. Your friend gave you that account and you deserve that shit. That's his money gone as well. Honestly I would've sued years ago.

I do agree that is a very hard punishment for what you did maybe if you give them all the evidence that you bought everything and grind for everything maybe you could have a change to get it back

Happened to me too. But I fought it because I had moved houses the IPs were different for that reason. Showed them my router history and they still claimed it wasn’t my account

At this point, if you ever did get it back, would you even switch back to it? You have so many newer skins on this one, and they probably won’t let you merge it again.

I understand it the support’s perspective in the sense that its not about whether they “could” demerge the accounts. Its the fact that the action was committed in the first place. However, I agree that their punishment was way too extreme. Should have been a temporary ban at worst. Like a few weeks or so. Hopefully there is a way to sway them.

account cosmetic transfer , I should be able to transfer cosmetics from one account to another without any form of email address or epic account required it should be just by the consent of both accounts by the click of a button, if one account wants there cosmetics sent to another account all they should have to do is click a form of request transfer and that account will get notified and they can give there consent if they want those cosmetics transferred or not , as simple as that I understand the controversy with the scamming and stuff but epic needs to make a new way to bring it back this is for personal use

If you do something wrong when you know it's wrong, don't be mad about your own actions, even if you make a video two years later crying about it.

If nothing else it's a nice warning to cut back on spending on these things, i mean we're just paying for the license to use it, and they can strip it away at a moment's notice... Kind of insane.
