"I get by with the help of my friends." If there's a more fitting song lyric for this channel, I haven't heard it.😀 If it's Saturday, it's time for #coldwarmotors, unless I have to change my schedule. Indeed, as Hunny bunny said, "Things are changing around here." The splice fits like a glove, the Honda fired on the first kick, the Kaiser engine was free-spinning w/plenty of compression.... Well, 2 out of 3, lol! Well, enough out of me, you've got to get started on next week's video! Cheers!👍

That was so funny I would never get tired of watching it. It kind of reminds me of an old rusty Plymouth my dad had. He drove it with the body actually starting to fall off the frame. Then the frame broke causing the drive shaft to pop out of the differential and he finally gave up on it.

Great episode. A little tip on stuck valves- after you get then semi-unstuck, put the hammer handle on the valve and lean pretty hard on it while you spin the motor over, much quicker than tapping it down every rev.

What I love about this channel is that you and your friends are genuine in your love of saving cars that likely have no business being saved. This is not a bad thing as you see the diamond in each hulk you rescue and your love for them is honest. This has become my favorite rescue channel because you haven't moved to a bigger and new garage - you are staying true to yourself - your music, your dogs, and your love of cars. Even the motorcycle portion of this video had my attention and that is no small feat as I loathe motorcycles. Keep up the great work and never lose that passion for vintage and "odd-ball" automobilia!

Hey Scott get this. If you have the closed captions on when Al or Tom are there you get a lot of " [ ] " s. They substitute brackets for Sh*t , F*ck , and other colorful words. Bet A Nickel it won't fit worth beans, and will need a LOT of massaging to make it workable. Remember: this is NOT a show car, and can be fine with less than perfect fits. As long as you won't lose stuff through holes, and it keeps stuff relatively dry, it is 'adequate'...

17:55 - "Down to the cords, so _almost_ time for some tires..." This is seriously part of my upbringing. Like it was yesterday, I recall looking at my dad's front tires in the late 60's at his '60 Chevy "Station Car" (< one mile to commuter train station parking lot) and his "baloney skins" with "belly button" puncture repair plugs, and "replacement" was only "required" once slow leaks started to appear on the frayed, visible cords. Edit: Therefore, a '60 Chevy with tread on the tires is alien to me.

That Biscala splice Is coming out MINT Your eye for detail Is phenomenal Welds better than the factory 🏭 All those drip rails , windshield seams , line up perfectly !! I don't mind which car you focus on , Scott . Biscala , Buick , Kaiser , Motorcycle ...... whatever Good score on that CT125 Good learning bike 🏍 I don't recall that model in America Maybe you guys , got that one Honda made some oddities My friend has a MR175 Sold here in America , only 2 years Great job , popping that dent out Firstly kick , OUTSTANDING !! Al's Granada Takes me back I had one too 3 speed with overdrive On the floor With that , genuine simulated , Imitation wood grain , shifter knob . Check out , Jim's Model A Such a massive design improvement over the model T You guts are getting more proficient , on flat head engines , than some trade schools You could put on a clinic Oh no !! That engine is junk !! I've never seen pistons Deteriorate too powder !!!! That's actually a great idea 💡 Fire them up , on a stand See..... hording paid off Massive dividends 😬 I never knew , they only made 900 for the Canadian market In 1951 The ultimate valve lash adjustment It's fascinating watching that old engine come back , from being neglected outside , for decades !! #SummerOfSplice #Biscala

Hey Scott. After watching your channel for quite a few years now and picking up tips on how you do bodywork, I have decided to try it myself! Although I'm pretty good at mechanical stuff, working with sheetmetal has always been a mystery to me. My '49 Plymouth is in desperate need of new floors before I can restore the interior and right now I can't afford to have someone do it for me. So, after following some of your tricks, I made my first patch panel ever today and it actually turned out pretty good!!! It's not perfect but it fits and it's a floor so it won't be seen, but at least now I'm encouraged enough to feel like I can tackle this myself. Thank you so much for your channel and inspiring me to try something new!

Glad that one of the spare Kaiser engines show almost immediate signs of life after a little hammer tapping and joy juice to wash probably 40 plus years of valve stem rust away. My outlook is that they should be restored and preserved no matter what it takes. Those who cannot afford to do the job ought to pass them along to someone who has the resources to complete the task. I am beyond amazed at the job you have done so far. You are truly a rare individual to have the gumption to even attempt such a thing, let alone bring it this far without creating a disaster, giving up, and walking away from a pile of worthless scrap. Your efforts thus far are worthy of high praise. You have shown the presence of mind to plan this operation, plus the patience and the work ethic to bring it this far. Ive never seen anybody do something like this, and I see it as nothing short of miraculous. You sir, posess great skill, and I offer you my sincerest respect and congratulations on a job well done. Haha the brush guard fantastic! That thing came out great! Would you guys consider a patina splice? I know if this much has gone into it you want it to reflect it but hey if you get it mechanically and structurally sorted in the trunk/quarters it would keep it out of body shop hell, maybe toy with the interior for a bit? Ive always been pleased with how the paint faired on that car after it getting so bad underneath, but what a happy sight with it all together.

The Honda motorcycle turned out to be a sweet bike. I'm glad to see that the Kaiser will get a motor from Scott's greasy motors (not affiliated with Dean's greasy flips). I recieved an email that my shirt is on the way! I'm looking forward to the shirt arriving, it looks good.

The blue Packard engine runs, just think...a Kaiser with power. The engine that was in the car appears to have been under water.

You guys are such an awesome crew. Not only getting shit running for fun but chipping in and taking care of each others rides and whatnot. It's like positive feedback and each guy pulling his weight helps build up the rest of the gang. The gang pulling for the one guy builds up that guy. You all build each other up and that's the way it ought to be! And one fuckin kick on that Honda? Get real! You got too damn lucky!

Dear @@TadWonky 👍👌👏 I totally agree. But only because this guy seem to know nothing else than using those totally unnecessary f- words in almost every second sentence (* = see below). Unfortunately he holds the record for using the most f- words on this channel (it was during am episode of smoking old darts years ago). Sometimes he even used two or three f- words in one sentence! It was disgusting because soooo unnecessary. Why has it become so common for lots and lots of English speaking people to use f- words so much? Even for discribing positive things! Agent Al is definitely first but neighbour Tom is almost as bad. I sometimes used fast forward too as soon as he appears. Even if there was no unnecessary swearing before, as soon as one of these guys appears, all the others (but especially Scott) start using f- words too. By the way: I'm sure that all the swearing is the main reason why "juhpipe" doesn't want that this great channel gets bigger. Best regards, luck and health in particular. Post Scriptum: * I once thought that agent Al is simply not able to speak/talk in a decent way. You wouldn't believe how surprised I was while watching and especially hearing agent Al expertly refering about Mini Coopers some years ago. Flawless like an experienced professor and without using one f- word (although it was a lot of informative content/text). It was so different, as if there are two personalities in him. Of course he's obviously a great friend to Scott (and so is his neighbour Tom).

I always thought the best way to take a dent out of a motorcycle gas tank would be fill it with water and put it in a freezer. Disclaimer: DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME KIDS...
