I watch any channel with Datsuns . Puddins fab shop , got me hooked on them datsuns

An engine I knew very well I had a Datsun 510 lowered like the racing cars they were. In high school auto shop class, I put big weber carbs on this engine, and it would haul ass. Also had wide tires with racing fenders. Brings back memories.

Had 78 and 76 both 620s four both ran good for my first work trucks maybe in my 20 year old paid 400 at car lot had for years but u don't see these anymore what happen to good times

if you want to make a project of it, I have an '81 210 wagon overhauled less than 25k ago with the nice rare little 5 speed. front disc brakes, cyclone/turbo wider offset mags (being 4 lug isn't any real problem at all). it's an A-14 block with A-15 top end. its not gutless and gave 34-35 mpg. perfect stuff if you want truck low for handling.

That's pretty cool. I remember my dad had a Datsun sedan back in the mid 70's.

I had a green 71 Datsun with a 1600 motor too back in 78/79 mine had a white top on it.. sold-it and brought a 1500 chevy..

also check the timing chain........it has timing marks and 3 cam cogs to set timing at.

Tell ya what I would do with this little girl. First thing, flush out the radiator and put anti freeze mixed with water in it after completely flushing out the old and getting ready for the new. Change the plugs, plug wires distributer cap, rotor, points and condenser and a new cap, and a new coil. Change the oil and oil filter and gasoline filter. After she's up and running like a little honey bee, start sanding the truck down and priming it with primer, at least two good coats to keep the body from rusting any more to a further degree. I would go underneath the truck itself and spray paint with my compressor black rust olem paint the chassis and frame and the underside of the bed. If the floor boards aren't bad, paint them to. Once all of this is completed get the regular stock wheels on her with Dog dish hubcaps and after getting a nice enamel color paint, sand the body back down washed her real good and get her ready to paint the whole truck. Lastly, two gallons of black rust olem bed liner paint will go into the bed to protect the bed from rust damage. I wish I could have gotten one of these little girls when I was living in Murfreesboro Tennessee, I love the 521 series Datsun/Nissan trucks! Wish they would start manufacture them again, bet they would be sold so fast they couldn't keep up with the demand of them, gasoline is up to 5,6, and 7 dollars a gallon these days.
