My family and I loved Bonnevilles back in the day. My Auntie had a ‘77 plain Jane, 4 door, 2 tone blue paint, my parents had a ‘76 (last of the whales) bonneville brougham, 4 door hard top, white over white with red velour interior. 400 cid engine……my first daily driver.
My dad bought a new one in seventy eight it was a two door and had half vinyl roof it said landau on the back side windows it was a navy blue and it had all the options it was a good ol car it held up really good.
Holy shit thats a beast, just lightly sand the car and clear coat it, then rebuild the carb and clean the fuel tank, throw on new fuel line and fuel filter on her then tune it up. Put a new vinyl roof on her and give the interior a good scrubbing. Check the brakes and some new rubber, then tint the windows and you'll have a sinister cruiser.👍🍻
Funny thing is i have done fuel lines and new tires resurface the rotors packed the wheel bearings. Gas tank is clean. I drove it as a daily 2 years ago. It needs carb done but otherwise its a good reliable car
77~81 pontiacs version of a 305 they put the, in the firebirds gran Prix bonnevilles then ca,e the turbo 301 in 80/81 for the trans am. It was supposed to be the engine for the new 82 third gen ta however GM said starting in 82 no more Pontiac engines they would use Chevy ....and Pontiac would be gone in 2009........
