HI R.W. ,, GREAT NEW LOGO,, AND GREAT NEW CARS ,THAT CADDY WANTS TO LIVE... THE WAGON MY SONAND I LIKE ALOT .. WE ENJOY ALL YOUR VIDEO'S .. YOUR MIC.VOL. GOT BETTER.. THANKS FOR THE TEACHING VIDEO.. AND JUST HAVING A FUN.. PEACE....
Man, after seeing you do the 64 falcon wagon I've been itching to be able start and old wagon project & here you are with another old Ford wagon! Bro, u find some of the neatest old rides! Love the channel! ✌️
Thanks a lot! I’ve got a buddy that’s really into the old wagons, and he’s got a couple more too, they may be on the channel in the future. But they are getting harder to find.
That Galaxie Wagon would look great next to my 67 Galaxie Sedan. It has the same paint as mine until I resprayed it close to original. I though about getting one of each Sedan HT, Coupe, Wagon, and Conv, and painting them the same color. It did look like the timing gear was nylon, I would replace that cheap insurance.
No Wasps this time! these videos are great to watch :) but since you also want to know how audio sounds and since I work in broadcast video (repair) but also get stuck micing up people and setting "rough" levels a quick tip you can try and check and find out if your microphone has an adjustable level someplace on the unit, your audio "clips" when you speak too loud so you can start by turning the gain of the mic turned down just slightly for starters then down more as you do tests if it sounds like clipping or distorted at loud passages, also the lapel mic should be pointing up to your chin and located/pinned in your chest breastbone area, if your mic is under clothing it can sound muffled but depends on type of clothing and away from jewelry that can rattle near the mic, if you can't find a level adjustment check to see if the software on the device your using this with has level adjustments ( like if its Bluetooth) anyways your vids are always great to watch! if I were closer I would help you with your record levels, it's not hard to do just takes some patience, oh and also since your mostly bent down looking over things and talking the mic level will seem too "HOT" or distorted so you will need to find a happy level adjustment between when you are upright speaking vs bent over speaking :) and if the mic came with a "pop" foam filter make sure you slip it over mic head
Hey Steve, thanks for the feedback and tips on the mic. situation, I’m definitely going to try some of the things you mentioned and mess around with it a bit before the next video to see if I can dial it in better. I see what you are saying about most of what I’m doing is while being slightly bent over. My wife actually mentioned as well that I may have it too close to my mouth while talking. Thank you!
I like the 390's compared to the 292's! They and some AMC Rambler model engines had serious oil flow problems, so they ran external hard oil supply lines from the bottom end to the rocker shafts for lubrication. I guess after going from FLATHEAD engines, they were still learning about those new ideas in oil pressure for OHVs.
Yea these 390’s seem to be pretty decent motors, and once I was done with this wagon motor it ran like a sowing machine, but once it warms up, it does seem to thin the oil out enough to where the oil pressure light comes on at an idle. I had to bump the idle up a tad.
I thought maybe that’s what the last guy was trying to do with the Cadillac, but they must’ve changed their mind, and painted some White House paint over some of it, and now it looks like a skunk! Lol
the Ford 390 had an oiling deficiency to the valve trains...they dry out..get hot and start to squeel at about 60,000 miles.....our 1968 Mercury Park Lane sounded like a wheat thrasher....we never fixed it cause the frame rotted out and the car sagged in the middle...a Ford trate
Oh yea, this one definitely seemed like it had an oiling issue as well. I’m convinced the pushrods got too hot at some point in this motor and made them weak, and that along with the sticking valves gave me the issues I had with this wagon motor.
