Spent a year and a half operating one of those AC's. Good power but needed a pusher. On one job the pusher was a Cat D4. I laughed....then stopped when it more than did the job. AC's had hydraulic down pressure on the pan unlike most other scrapers. Great in the fall when the ground stated to freeze. Just push til the rear wheels where off the ground and the weight of the pan would crash right through the frost layer. And there were no cables to break.

If I recall rightly, I think I seen a couple of AC scraper years ago, this is the first one I seen worked, I worked scraper spreads, all Cat, that is really neat to see it being worked, the truth is, I don't recall if I knew AC built a scraper line, I do now. I primarily supported the 666 scarpers and 657 line for years. This AC reminds me of the 641 A scrapers
Although I like all vintage heavy equipment and attend the HCEA shows, it's refreshing to see something different for a change rather than the run-of-the-mill stuff from Peoria, Illinois.
Very Very cool, and pretty rare, may want to consider getting that miss fixed before you cause damage to that motor. I will say this, I love the video for answering the title "question" in the first second! ;-)
