I really don't know how by panicking over last nights debate, you got that it is over for Biden (he had a bloody cold) unless they pick a new VP. I think your observation about Biden's loyalty to Harris is spot on. She and Beau became friends when she was CA AG and he was Delaware AG and they were working on a lawsuit together. That would strengthen Biden's feelings of loyalty to her.
Kamala,in my opinion as VP is much like Garland as AG. While Kamala is doing fine as VP her gifts would be better utilized as AG. Garland should be a Justice just as he was initially intended to be. I hope it is under consideration! It makes sense. Meanwhile, the VP position…when I think of the 2nd in line aspect, whoever it would be, that person would be Biden’s front man, so to speak, and need to have lots of charisma! What a great position,Kamala is in, because she can choose between three great career choices. Biden would never ask her to leave VP, but he would want her to be happy in the long run. If I were her I would pick Supreme Court Justice. It would offer her long time job security, if she were worried about re-election in 28.

I believe that Harris will be a great President. She has just spent 4 years learning from a “master statesman” how to work the system. Hopefully, she will spend another 4 years learning even more. If one wants to see Senator Kamala Harris at work, go back to the Bret Cavanaugh hearings and listen to how she handled that situation. She doesn't "suffer fools" easily--Kavanaugh or Bill Bar. Kamala Harris was considered for the AG position in the Obama administration when Eric Holder resigned. She wasn't interested because she wanted to stick with her cases in California as state AG. And, historically, what VP stood out in any administration for doing a good job? Seems like the VP position always works in the background.
All the Republicans I know are aghast at Kamala Harris for no discernible reason. (Like the way little kids are aghast at brussel sprouts.) So I'd say keep her.

I watched most of the readers on the aftermath of the debate. Cash did say that he did predict possible trouble for Biden coming from trump at the debate. It did play out exactly how he predicted. And he did say the energy today still has the Democrats winning in November.

Who could be more dynamic than Kamala Harris? I watched several of her post-debate talks yesterday. She's dynamite. Should the circumstances arise, she would make an excellent president. No one would dare judge a male politician by whether they're "warm and fuzzy." That is so sexist. She is a strong woman, good for her!
The thing I am really uncomfortable with is that this was a Haley talking point: that a vote for Biden is really a vote for an angry black woman (which was what she was really saying). I assume logical thinkers would go with Newsom but he's strongly signaled a 'no' this time... I don't like this at all. Kamala is a brilliant woman and hasn't been utilised fully as a VP. The point is she's black and she's a woman and that's a problem for a lot of people when thinking about elevating her from VP to POTUS. From a PR point of view, a last minute change up would signal panic to the electorate. Dolly and Taylor have taken the same route, they just help good causes and that signals their 'leftiness". Taylor tweeted a sign up to vote link and terrfied the Right because that one tweet had 35k new young people immediately sign up. That's power and of course, Dolly is an actual angel on the Earth and you mess with her at your peril.
