I'll take that bet, and back it up with most of the pennies I own, because its Luffy and he's a fucking idiot who refuses to listen to reason or history.
So when Luffy heard that “roar” noise that gave him goosebumps? I’m thinking it’s Loki’s stomach growling. Luffy will free and feed the hungry, as is tradition, and unintentionally start ragnarok.
See I can believe that. Like don krieg! Thanks for feeding mex it's been years since I've eaten.... I'm still going to destroy this place and you can't and won't stop me! People forget he's been tricked before when he fought Zoro because he was fed lol
Imagine this, Luffy, Sanji, and possibly Chopper want to free Loki while Nami and Zoro want to leave him. Luffy cause he’s implusive or trusts Loki, Sanji for obvious reasons, maybe Chopper for empathetic reasons as a doctor, but maybe not because he’s scared. Zoro wouldn’t for logics sake cause it seems like a bad idea, same for Nami plus she’s scared. But then Usopp, who would normally be 100% against this, is quiet during the argument, until be agrees to release him. The crew seeing this drastic change, agree, and Usopp possibly is the first to truly befriend/earn the respect of Loki. Of course this is all hypothetical, but that’s how I think it’ll go.
you bet! remember, ''to create a world, an old one must be destroyed'', only thing is that i bet loki would not destroy elbaf or warland, he wants the head of imu and gorosei!!!! and i bet that luffy freeing him and feeding him somehow will turn into a humbleness lesson at some point for loki (in the good way) outside of this, im not risking betting in any horse yet!
I think we're missing the big question. How is the Mad Monk going to factor into all of this? He is the only Supernova who has yet to play a supporing role in the New World.
This is crazy spitballing, but Urouges' abilities involve him taking damage and growing, gaining the strength of whatever attack hit him. What if he played a part in this arc and in like the final battle, he took enough damage to grow to the size and strength able to wield the massive sword that pierces through the World Tree?
Ma D. Monk hangs out on cloud islands & Vivi is on the run from the world gov on a ship flying through the clouds. They both need to meet up with the Strawhats . . .
I can see the future already: 1) Luffy's presence will make wolves go to Loki; 2) the wolves will smell some giant rations in Loki's pocket; 3) Luffy beats up wolves for it; 4) with Loki giving Luffy food, like a genie of the lamp, Luffy will listen to three wishes from Loki; 5) wackiness ensues.
@@Aether_GM idk, they didn't really want to go near the guy with evil vibes until he focused on this lil rubbery fella? They were too busy biting air at Usopp?
the way you're framing the idea of loki not being actually evil is making me imagine that next chapter will start where we left off with loki saying "I am the sun god that will destroy this land!...at least that's what they said when they were chaining me here"
That might be an interesting twist. Instead of the strawhats showing up and helping the citizens of the island, this time loki will be the big bad in the eyes of the people and the strawhats are going to go against the people of elbaph with loki to help them see why loki is right
I think the reason Loki is considered a cursed child is because he was born during an eclipse. Most of the giants we’ve met worship the sun god so an eclipse would be a bad omen for them.
If Loki does have a logia, it would tie back nicely to why Hajrudin was going for the Mera-Mera no mi back in Dressrosa. A literal Sun-Sun fruit would be insane.
@@xenostar6482 I think that as well. It's either that, or the Jörmungandr fruit (Mythical Snek fruit). Fenrir would be cool as well. Especially on a giant.
*Imagine Luffy asking Loki to join the Strawhats* . That would be most luffiest thing to do. Luffy: " _So you wanna destroy the world. Okay but can you do that after I become the King of the Pirates? But most importantly, Join my Crew_ .
@@IamGrimalkin Luffy asking him doesn't mean that he will join, he will be just an ally like Law or Bege. Vivy's spot is secured, especially after the X on gear 5 Luffy's arm
@@mylespando5192 How do you know Vivi is weak? Because she lost to 3+ CP0 agents who took her on at the same time? Come on, clearly if Lucci and Kaku are much stronger now the rest of CP9/0 are too.
@@IamGrimalkinGrowing up is realizing just because Luffy said, "Like ten crew mates" doesn't mean it's hard capped at ten. Especially since Oda wrote that line decades ago. Granted I don't think they should just add hella members since it's already hard to get shine for the whole crew, but if it ends with 11,12 or 13 members I wouldn't be shocked.
Tekking I think Loki has the Jormungandr (World Serpent) Fruit Mythical Zoan Snake Snake Fruit Model Jormungandr • Jormungandr is a son of Loki that holds the world in place by wrapping itself around the world and biting its tail and when Jormungandr is released Ragnarok (the end of the world) begins. • When Jormungandr is released, it causes mighty waves, flooding the lands during Ragnarok. • In chapter 129, Dorry and Brogy mentioned the 'Greatest Serpent' as the only thing that can withstand their attack. How would they know unless they had tried? • The fruit that was passed on for generations in the Royal family is the Mythical Zoan Jormungandr. Loki stole the fruit cause he had ambitions to change the world for good by causing Ragnarok (the end of the world). • During Nolands flashback, in chapter 287 Kashigami the giant snake was called the 'God of Sun'. This could be the reason why Loki thinks he's the Sun God. • The Sun will bring forth a new dawn by ending the world of darkness. Maybe Loki wants to end the world of darkness and bring the Dawn, that's why he's calling himself the Sun God. • Loki and Snakes: In Norse mythology, Loki was punished by being bound in a cave to suffer snake venom dripping onto his face until Ragnarok. In the manga, Loki has his tongue out like a snake. • Loki the serpent stealing a forbidden fruit on the Adam Tree (Yggdrasil) kind of like the Serpent in the Garden of Eden. • In Norse Mythology, when Loki writhes in pain it causes earthquakes. In chapter 1130 Luffy hears a 'roar' noise and the bridge shakes. Maybe that was Loki suffering his punishment. • What we know for sure is; 1. The Devil Fruit is very powerful. 2. It has been in Elbaph for centuries. 3. It can cause the end of the world. 4. There's a Great Serpent in Elbaph that even Dorry and Broggy combined can't damage.
Yeah, I think that it's likely going to be that or a Fenrir fruit, because Fenrir bit of Tyr's arm(Shanks), Fenrir's release from his imprisonment is one of the prerequisites for Ragnarok, and his two children eat the sun and moon to signify that Heimdall has to blow the horn.
Thats a great observation, i’m on board with this. Its either mythical zoan snake snake fruit model jormugandr or mythical zoan dog dog fruit model fenrir. Imho its either of them
@@andremoreno2504 what luffy can tell who is good or bad with just looking it is not a luffy thing to do lol and if i m wrong tell me in 1100 chapters when luffy did somthing like that
Loki and Luffy are very similar He introduced himself as i am the sun god i will destroy the world Im luffy im gonna be the king of the pirates Same Energy
Yeah. It's pretty clear from Luffy's smile that he already likes Loki. And given Luffy hates slavery and never discriminates it's clear that Luffy's going to free Loki. They already have synergy between each other by being kindred spirits. That's my thoughts.
2:35 in the official, loki says world not just elbaph. So hes all of luffys villains at once. Looks like katakuri and doffy, twice the size if not more than kaido, and now the ambition of blackbears
Crazy thought! Loki ate the Mythical Zoan Jotun-Jotun no mi model: Surtr. It allows him to transform into an even bigger giant with fire powers! The enormous sword next to Yggdrasil could be the sword wielded by the kings of Elbaph with the fruit. The fire powers would fit the sun motif, and his brother's search for a similar fruit.
My thoughts & opinions of the chapter: 1. It's no surprise that Loki will trick Luffy into freeing him from his imprisonment. But if he did, then won't this lead Luffy to be in the same position with the Giants as Big Mom was? 2. After learning that Hajrudin is a "prince" & Loki's "brother", not only do I expect him to be the Momonosuke of Elbaph, but I now wonder if the Grand Fleet will have an even bigger role in this arc than expected. 3. When looking at the giant sword at Yggdrasil, I am getting the feeling that it will become one of Emperor Luffy's new weapons since the silhouette of Nika was carrying both a sword & a spear on each hand.
1. I don't think he'd trick Luffy, more like convince Luffy... Luffy isn't the smartest but he does trust his gut. 2. We have been getting more Grand Fleet, first with Barto and now the giants.. it's possible 3. I don't think it'll be his weapon but it could be that it was Joy Boy's or the actual Nika itself
We know what Luffy's sword technique is, he punches people while holding the sword. So if Luffy is taking that sword, it's effectively operating as a giant knuckleduster. How is that thing fitting on the Sunny though.
I believe the essence of DF lies in some organ of the human body (for e.g. Heart) so when Big Mom ate her mother she got her powers, and also when Blackbeard "extracted" Whitebeard's powers, he put a cloth on his body to eat that organ and also to hide the method. Another hint is when Jesus was chasing around Sabo during Dressrosa, he had a dagger in his hand which I guess was to cut open the body and extract that specific organ. Whitebeard already had huge holes on his body, so a dagger wasn't probably needed.
His tattoos give off a winged zoan fruit vibes. Kaidos tats had scales for his fish fruit and dragon. He either has mythical zoan model griffith, giant moth, or giant owl. Could aslo be thunderbird
Hey Tekking I have a really solid theory about Loki's fruit but I also don't want to type a book for you to read so imma try to make it concise and straight to the point. I think Loki has the logia fruit of the Sun. • In 1130 we learn that Loki and Hajrudin are brothers (half brothers at the least) since Hajrudin is confirmed to be a elbaf prince. • We also know the ages of both of them. Hajrudin(81) Loki(63) with that roughly being Hajrudin at 27 in human years and Loki at 21 with the 3x longer lifespan method. Meaning that in Elbaph it it follows standard regency, Hajrudin was the next in line. • There isn't a exact time for when Loki killed his father but it seems that to believe with proper regency law being that the oldest son becomes the king and inherits the devil fruit from their father. Loki killing their father is almost in an attempt to pass Hajrudin, like having the devil fruit is a requirement to be king. • In chapter 714 Hajrudin makes his first appearance in the Corrida Colossuem and states "Have you ever seen a giant with a logia?" and "With the Mera Mera fruit I will become the king of all giants!" This leads me to believe that Oda laid some crumbs that he can circle back on to eventually have the first elbaphian giant with a devil fruit to be a logia, and the specifics of Hajrudin coming to dressrosa is specifically for the Mera Mera. While that isn't a sun fruit it is very similar to sun connotation, like a runner up if being "like the Sun god" is a prerequisite. • To elaborate on that further i think that the sun god is deeply rooted into Elbaph's culture, as seen during Egghead. I think the royal family has to be "most like the sun god" and try to honor them in a specific way. They can't be Nika since that fruit is already taken. And no other zoan can get you there, so it has to be a logia fruit for the sun. Also note Loki's smiling expression and his self proclamation. You ain't claiming your the sun god if you can turn into a snake or a wolf, im just not hearing that. • We also know that desires drives devil fruits and giants have been alive a long time. They also have the world tree, probably the closest you can get to the sun that's natural (excluding sky islands) so it'd be poetic for the sun fruit to be born at the tip of the world tree. • Also with Vivi coming to rejoin the straw hats i think it'd be a great callback. We're exploring a new, massive country that's had loads of build up (like Alabasta) where a main contributor will be a logia (Crocodile, possibly Loki). • also you'd think that they'd keep Loki high up, making it harder to leave the island. But no, they put him on the bottom of Elbaph, in a frozen mountainscape that could be called the Bifrost or Niflheim, basically a really cold place that's far obscured from the sun. Symbolically as far away from the sun as possible. Plus we just had Wano, and Egghead where we had massive zoans and yokais. It'd be a real refresher to see some of the pre time skip one piece like fruits like how we first felt with smoker and Crocodile, except it's a fucking giant who can turn himself into his own sun. • AND it'd be a one up to Akainu! Like we were so shocked in marineford cause we got the "Magma is hotter than fire" but what's hotter than a fucking volcano, THE SUN I'd love to hear what you think it and what connections you see Edit: Oh and all the nidhogg symbolism has gotta be the biggest red heron of all time, I just can't see it, it's too obvious Edit 2: Didn't realize we would come to the same conclusion
Applying SA2 to this chapter, would that make luffy shadow the hedgehog and Loki the biolizard?(even tho the biolizard is technically the ultimate lifeform)
16:18 radiation based devil fruit is the Jiki Jiki no mi. Magnetism is just a specific firm of radiation. Everything from infrared to ultraviolet to visible light to x-rays to gamma rays and everything in between is nothing more than different frequencies of electromagnetic radiation.
Like other gods, Loki is a shape shifter and in separate sources appears in the form of a salmon, a mare, a fly, and possibly an elderly woman named Þökk (Old Norse 'thanks'). In the original Norse mythology, Loki caused Baldur’s death. In revenge, Odin bound his brother Loki in the entrails of his own son, and imprisoned him under the world tree for eternity. A snake clinging to a root dripped it’s venom into Loki’s eyes as part of his punishment. Sigyn, Loki’s wife, sought to ease his suffering by catching the drops in a bowl. The bowl would overfill as bowls do, and when she went to empty the bowl, Loki had no protection against the snake’s venom. By the jötunn Angrboða, Loki is the father of Hel, the wolf Fenrir and the world serpent Jörmungandr. Loki is foretold to eventually break free from his bonds and, among the forces of the jötnar, to go to battle with the gods, during which time his children play a key role in the destruction of all but two humans over the events of Ragnarök. Loki has a particular enmity with the god Heimdallr. The two are in fact prophesied to kill one another during Ragnarök.
Yeah. Ragnarok is pretty much entirely lokis fault. Killing baulder His daughter refusing his resurrection unless everyone agrees Loki being the one who disagreed Fenrir killing Odin? Jormunger killing thor
I wouldn't say for sure that Loki's been chained for a couple of years. I think it's probable that he was captured a short time before dressrosa arc where Hajrudin went to get a different powerfull fruit.
I don't think Hajrudin and Loki are brothers. It may be that there is a new Elbaph King after King Harald died. So the new King is Hajrudin's father, while the previous King is Loki's father.
you mentioned inflation in the chapter review when talking about Dorry and Brogy's bounty's, so i worked out what rogers bounty would be if he was still in the story, he died about 24 years ago, with an inflation rate of about 2-3% per year, average of 2.5, Rogers bounty would be about 10,065,198,164 berries, so around 10 billion berries. P.s i hope Loki has a crazy Logia, like the soul Logia or something wacky like Greenbull's forest fruit, since Greenbull has a forest fruit Loki could have a Sun Logia and it wouldn't feel out of place , if not i like the idea that Loki has the real Gomu Gomu no Mi, since its alwase been in Elbath Vagapunk wouldn't know that it actually did exist.
I think the blindfold of loki makes an interesting point to think about? Did the giants put the blindfold on him? Or did he swear to never see anyone again after getting rejected by lola?
I bet he'll get a Mythical Zoan that turns him into Fenrir. I know we've had quite a few mythical zoans, but I think it'd make sense. Fenrir was one of his sons in mythology and a huge threat to the Norse Gods. Fenrir was also chained up by using magical chains, or Seastone in One Piece. During Ragnarök, Fenrir got free and ran all over the world, devouring everything in his path eventually killing Odin. Fenrir was also destined to devour the sun, which could be Loki misinterpreting the Fruit thinking it'll make him the new Sun God.
I think the other way fruits are acquired is through cannibalism, makes BB pirates a lot more monstrous and is not a theme discussed a lot already. It also fits the other cases like Big Mom.
OH! NEW IDEA! I was thinking of how a fusion/radiation sun fruit might come off as a "poisonous sun," and that made me wonder: what if it's a Balor-Lugh thing? Another god fruit, but for a deposed, malevolent former sun god who Nika was supposed to have overthrown, with themes of drought and destruction. Probably not, but it seems a nice contrast to the Norse Fenrir fruit theories, and expand on the Nika lore. *Unless it's a Skoll-Hati/Jawzhar thing, with a "sun eater" monster. *Or maybe a Seven Macaw "false sun/moon"?
We technically have a new "will they join" candidate... He's has to meet the requirements... 1. Have a reason to leave 2. Have a fairly long term goal 3. Misunderstood character because of their tragic backstory 4. Grows admiration to Luffy after first being against him I can't think of anymore but I'm sure they're some more
Ideally, A Straw hat should know at least 1 of Luffy’s brothers. Brook is the only exception to that rule. But there’s a reason Oda gave Yamato such an extensive history with Ace. Bonney has spent time with Sabo too for people that think she should join. Fun fact: the only crewmember that has met both of Luffy’s brothers is Zoro.
my current head cannon is, what if the constant ongoing war was caused and fueled by the ruling class of warland, but they keep up public appearances to make ppl think they want peace. and loki being the prince, knows and doesn’t want it for some reason, so he killed his father and maybe some other corrupt people but without the people knowing they were corrupt they labeled him as a murderer.
10:15 I mean, people said the same of Doflamingo, so even if they do say such things, they could just be wrong They probably won't use that again, but it's a thought
I think it'll turn out like the following: Loki ate the fruit as a child/teenager per accident, the power overtook him and his dad died trying to stop him from destroying the island/world. Since there were no witnesses, everyone thought he ate the fruit, killed his dad and wanted to destroy everything. Therefore he got imprisoned and, over the years, his formerly peaceful and friendly nature became twisted or better said, he plays the role everyone thinks he has. His over-the-top acting feels like something someone would do to "protect" others by keeping himself chained up. He might think himself that he is this evil guy now because everyone always told him he is, but deep down he might still be the innocent and loveable giant.
I don´t think its a Logi I´m pretty sure Hajrudin said in Dressrosa that he wanted the Mera Mera to be the first giant to have a Logia. Tho it might´ve been a creative liberty of whatever translator that was from
If Loki tells him that he’ll be nice he definitely will, he always does lol. I also think we are being misled, Loki will either be a friend who turns enemy or an enemy that turns friend.
you said in a video that Hajrudin is on the weak side since he had trouble with Machvise and that its weird for him to be Loki's brother, since a whole army was needed to tie up Lokl... Hajrudin launched 10.000 ton, thats 10 million kg!! straight into the air with one arm and broken bones, thats about 1660 elephants. Hajrudin is 22m tall, thats like if a average dude (1m80) launches 800.000 kg in the air WITH BROKEN BONES
10k tons is 20 million pounds! At best Zoro can lift 800 tons while training and maybe 3 times that while trying in a fight, still Zoro would not be able to handle machvise 10k ton press! Hajrudin punched them shotput 20 million pounds in a standing position, sending this 20 million pounds into the air into the birdcage which is at least 1000 feet! Yes he dusted every bone in his arm but now we know his limit, and since he's still young, his ceiling will be absurdly high and will be the strongest giant by the end of series! Thank you to this person who also gets how strong hajrudin is
I'd like to think he actually is the Moon God instead of the Sun God. So he would literally be able to control the oceans currents which would make it really O.P. also legendary.
If Loki has the literal actual SUN logia or a star logia in general. Like man... The pure destruction that would come from him just turning into a sun would probably enough to be considered an ancient weapon. And something really does tell me Loki means what he's saying but maybe he's not gonna do it voluntarily.
the female giant mentioning that rodo is a bigger discrace then loki himself realy points to a kind of "mad king"-situation. i mean: rodo is a weirdo, but not a father murderer (as far we know)
@@Yaseen_Arafath imagin he is bound to the tree because he killed his father is way his father cant go to walhalla 8D i know: crazy thought. but to kill family is a hard subject. i am very excited for mid november xD
I'm trying to remember if Luffy directly helped the antagonist to start off a problem in the arc. It seems to always be to help other people that directly puts him at odds with the antagonist. Loki can trick him or not actually be 100% bad. Luffy could sense Gerd and Goldberg were good so it wouldn't make sense for Luffy to side with a bad person.
Are you planning on doing a video about the Fan Letter special? It was honestly one of the best episodes I've seen from the anime in a long time and it made me cry twice 😭.
Here's a weird thing about the way Luffy introduced himself to Loki. When Luffy introduced himself to a character. He usually say I'm Monkey D. Luffy, but with Loki he just say I'm Luffy. Maybe Loki knows something about the D.
i personally felt like this was gonna be a Zou like arc, they were taken there for safety and the arc will be for that purpose. Loki will mirror the conflict that was Jack in Zou but that this is mainly just an exposition arc and launchpad for the next arc
I just thought this was obvious set up that the fruit Shanks stole and Luffy ate is the fruit Loki "killed his father" for. It would explain why the Sun god is a big deal in Elbaph but not as much anywhere else and why the world government couldn't get it for so long.
Speaking of Loki’s design, I find it interesting how many parallels there are to Doflamingo. He’s chained up and imprisoned, his eyes are covered, he has a mischievous grin while sticking his tongue out a lot, and Doffy is known to play tricks on people. Wondering if it’s meant to make us think Loki’s really bad and devious like Doffy, BUT he’s just misunderstood. Personally I think Loki might have eaten a Devil Fruit called the Lie Lie fruit, where he can’t tell the truth, but everyone has to believe him. It might have more complicated rules, but if it’s not Fenrir, then I think it would be something of an analogue to Usopp.
He's more likely to just free him because he wants to, not to fight him. Like when he showed up and found Zoro he heard all these bad things about him but he freed him regardless.
I think it's almost certain about Luffy freeing Loki. That's kinda of his thing. Also, you bringing up the idea of a nuclear devil fruit after restating loki's quote made me think of Oppenheimer and his famous quote- "Now I am become death, the destroyer of worlds." In other words, I really think you're on to something
Of course he does, he’s at least involved in the freeing of loki. (I still like the idea that Loki actually isn’t evil) I feel like it’s so obvious he’s evil that maybe he’s not.
The devil fruit protected by giant royalty is the Nika fruit, which was lost in the chaos during some event we'll hear about later, which Shanks heard about because I'm willing to bet Roger and the giants had good relations, a possible backstory explaining the relationship between Shanks and Elbaf. Also where would you hide a massive egg? Within a bunch of massive eggs, duh!
I really like the Sun Sun/ Star Star fruit theory. As much as I like mythical zoans and would like a Fenrir fruit, we've been getting a lot of them lately, so I'm down for a new logia.
What would be really funny is if Luffy frees Loki, and Loki greets him with a handshake, and Luffy grows as big as Loki is, and Loki instanly likes Luffy
Alright, staying with Norse Mythical Zoan idea since Loki is Loki… Wolf Wolf Fruit: Model Skoll. Another wolf that is rumored to EAT the sun alongside their sibling, Hati, who eats the moon.
I dont believe loki is a bad guy, he misunderstood. Luffy typically meet the good guy character in beginning of arcs and they introduce him to the conflict. Also luffy have good intuition on who is good and bad
I was shocked after reading the chapter to find most people assume he ate the devil fruit. I read it as he killed his father to gain access to the fruit and then went on a rampage when he couldn't find it. My top theories are that it was the Dark Dark or Nika Nika Fruit. Point for Dark: Loki was said to have "devoted himself to darkness". Points for Nika: It would give us further context as to how Shanks knew the Nika fruit was on that WG ship (told by King Harold) and by the time they had secured it Shanks would have found out that King Harold was dead and took the fruit to the next best place, windmill village where the son of his former captain is.
9:43 Oden wanted to open up wano as well to unleash an ancient weapon- Oda seems to be continuously foreshadowing a relationship between Apocalypse and freedom
