USMNT still don't have a manager and we're 3 weeks out as you both mentioned. Mexico just hired their former manager they've let go of twice already. I'd be upset if Canada lost either one of these September friendlies. Yes they are just friendlies at the end of it, not too much can be taken away, but ideally i'd like to see them build on what we just saw in July.
Hardware does nothing for the big tourney. Costa Rica probably had the best run from all teams. And did they win in the America's, NO. So do notnthing winning trophies against Mexico and the USA helps a program. No one cares about those trophies.
