Joe Mauer is a when, not if he makes it type. But who knows what year he will make it in. There is some good guys coming into the ballot.

Nolan Ryan wasn't unanimous..... 7 no hitters (most ever - by far), over 5000 strikeouts (most ever - by far), and over 300 wins

Joe Mauer belongs no where near the hof. Singles hitter. No power, but should have. no speed.

Mauer should easily make the hall of fame. No question.

I'll say it once and I'll say it again. If Buster Posey gets the love of being in the HoF Mauer should be.

The only thing that helps Poseys case is that he hit home runs, played catcher his whole career and won multiple world series.

Don't be ridiculous Posey has 3 World Series titles, MVP, and a Batting title.. Mauer only has playoff failures and mediocrity. Mauer was a good player but not a Hall of Famer.

@@skyhawk4946 lol so poseys MVP and batting title counts but Mauers MVP and THREE batting titles don’t? He’s been retired for 5 years it’s time to take the hate goggles off

@@skyhawk4946 Posey doesn't have the longevity to make the Hall of Fame. If Posey didn't retire early, and kept playing till he got over 2,000 hits, he would be a lock for the Hall of Fame. If Thurman Munson couldn't make the Hall of Fame, than Posey shouldn't be in the Hall of Fame.

He'll likely get in because of position. His numbers after he quit catching were not impressive in my opinion. Was never much of a Mauer fan tbh. Good guy though.

If Scott Rolen gets the Call Joe Mauer should be a lock simply put

100?? Buxton started 50 in center field last year. He played 92 total games, but 35 were DH and 7 he came in as a late game one inning defensive replacement

My favorite Joe Mauer moment is when he went deep into the bullpen - 2 outs bottom of the 9th against the Boston Red Sox on May 6th, 2017.... great memories. I'm a child of the Kirby era, but Joe could really play

If Scott Rolen is in then Mauer should have been in yesterday. If Rolen is in then Brian Giles should be in. If Rolen is in, Kenny Lofton should be in. I don’t like Rolen being in the HOF, do the right thing and put Bonds and Maguire and Rose in there ffs.

The biggest BS in hall of fame voting is players being punished for playing too long. Mauer was the best catcher in baseball for a decade, but will have to wait because he decided to keep playing after his prime? It just makes me mad

It's pretty much become the hall of pretty good so yeah, even though he disappeared in the playoffs he'll get in eventually.

I was a twins fan back in Mowers day and saw many games in the stadium, when they were in the Dome, and only watched one game at the new stadium, the first year during the fifth game the team ever plated there. I had to move soon after that, but Mower was a great player, that never was seen because he played in Minnesota. If he had played in a big city, he would be a first year shoe in. 😊😊

IMHO he doesn't have the numbers. So I say no.
@PhantomofDB
@PhantomofDB Год назад
What numbers does he not have? The only active player right now with more hits than Mauer is Miguel Cabrera. Only active players right now with higher career batting average are Miguel Cabrera and Jose altuve. Only guys who walked more are Cabrera, Joey Votto, Carlos Santana, and Andrew McCutchen. If you’re in the top 1% of multiple major categories in a league, AND you are an MVP, 3 time batting champ as catcher (no one has come close to doing that) and you were the face of mlb not just for one year… he’s the only guy to ever be the mlb the show cover athlete more than once, he did it back to back. He’s a slam dunk. Not sure why Minnesota people hate him so much
